If you post on two Twitter accounts could be rated as duplicate content
-
I have a personal Twitter account which is building up, but I also have a Twitter account for my holiday letting agency and until now I’ve always separated the subject of the tweets and links to my websites but I’m using Buffer which automates your tweets in advance and so I included some of the links to my business holiday letting agency articles on my personal account and people seem to like them and have shared them, but is there any risks to doing that regarding duplicate type of content?
At the end of the day some the people on my personal Twitter will be interested in my agency tweets about holiday accommodation, I just want to do anything which could be termed spam.

Hi Oleg
With the apparent reason emphasis on social shares likes and links been possibly a more accurate we are determining for the search engines whether content is popular and focusing on this we already have lots of content on the websites. I have initially posted introduction link to each post on our website copy and pasted into to our twitter, FB.and GP accounts with the same link, but the decided that in short bursts I will do unique introductions to the links. Looking at my competition which is above me in the search engine results they tend to be much larger companies and are not focusing very much on social media so will see if the results pay any dividends all the best Alan
I'll give you an update for your interest in the future

Hi Moosa
Thank you very much I thought that might be the case it's not like a permanent article on your website or blog, but I'm actually going to post links to our website with unique introductions which doesn't take long when you do it in small bursts and I'm sure it makes it more interesting especially when you're using an automated service like buffer. Thanks for the info I appreciate Alan

The KISS rule here is, “When on twitter, you don’t really have to care about duplicate content.” Even if every tweet of two accounts is identical there is no problem as it won’t hurt your website in any way!!

You are fine - no need to worry about duplicate content.
Only way it would be is if EVERYTHING is identical.. which it doesn't sound like it is.

Google Plus: Personal vs Business Accounts I am Confused!
Hi so I have both accounts set up, I use my business g+ for sign posting my new blog posts & latest news. I have Authorship set up on my Blog and that is working fine. I am personally v much a large part of the brand, www.over50choices.co.uk and have my face on the home page and most social property, so when i do use my G+, FB & Twitter accounts, whilst they are the business accounts, its lead by me. So just what do I use my G+ Persoanl Account for? I have read that i should either share or duplicate the my updates on both accounts, but will that look like duplication? I dont have many G+ followers currently but intend to develop this in the next few months, so its important that I get this right if i am to optimise my activity? Your help appreciated. Ash

Facebook Virality Metrics Compared To Open Rates
I'm trying to put Facebook's Virality Metrics in a framework I understand better. In email marketing, if you consistently get 25% to 30% open rates on newsletters, you're doing solid in most industries. What would you all say the equivalent for that is in Facebook Virality? Thanks, Ruben P.S. If it's drastically higher than 4% - 6%, I'm going to be very sad.

Multiple Social Media Accounts
If I use multiple social media accounts to share-reshare on facebook, to increase the number of people that see my posts, do I need to somehow mask my IP from facebook/google? I only have one personal facebook account right now. I have been reading and am speculating that most SEO's use several facebook accounts. I know you have to build a facebook account that looks/feels real, but do you have to mask your IP address somehow to stop facebook/google from realizing you are one in the same...

Why would Google+ send posts as 'messages' to people outside of your circles?
A day ago I uploaded a photo of a US Navy ship mooring at Bell Harbor marina, which is across from my office (near the conference center site of SMX Advanced Seattle). A rude comment was posted by someone from Germany accusing me of sending this to them personally, offended because he's anti-military: "Don't spam people pal." I blocked him. So, since it was uploaded to my public stream and shared to my circles, I have no explanation as to how this could happen. If someone in my circles shared it to him, I suppose it could look like I sent it to him, but I haven't seen that happen before. Anyone else see behavior like this? UPDATE: because this person was within one of the circles to whom I shared this photo, he received a notification that I'd shared it "directly" with him. See comment below.

Should I post these viral videos/photos on my website?
I started posting viral videos and stuff that I found on reddit and youtube on my facebook fan page. It's getting a lot of attention and creating more opportunities for bonding with my fans/customers. I'm just wondering what you guys think about reposting some of this stuff on my blog...do you think it would be worth the time and effort? I've experimented with a few and it really does draw traffic to my site...and gets me facebook shares. But the traffic is very poorly converting. So, now I'm trying to decide if the extra time it takes (i.e. 5-10 minutes to write a blog post and include the video imbed code vs. 20 seconds to just hit the "share" button) is worth it. What do you think?

Duplicate Content
I have a question regarding non-original content on multiple sites. I'm working for a client that's company has a personalized social network for it's fans (completely custom, built from the ground up - not like kickapps, or the other social network dev platforms). Anyway the network is fairly active - at least a couple thousand users - and each one of these sites is given a subdomain. Each of these subdomains can be given a custom URL if purchased - but essentially it's much like creating a blogger or wordpress. Each URL is basically "http://FanUsername.BrandName.c0m/" Now the dev had the genius idea of publishing all "corporate/company" blog posts on everyone of these subdomains as well. When first learning of this, I told them it was a terrible idea - and that it may even penalize the main blog. After more research - it looks like this may not be the case? I still think they should just link back to the main blog and discontinue publishing these posts on all of these additional subdomains (and for those that purchased domain names - unique websites). What do you guys think? Should they only include an RSS feed of links back to the main blog? Should they just link directly back to the blog? Or should they offer shortened versions of each blog post - ala links + meta description + Read More...? Or lastly, should they just keep as is? Thanks for the help
