Landing pages report - Meaning of clics metric
-
Hi there,
I am looking at the landing pages report on Google Analytics, I see 4 columns:
Impressiones
Clics
Average position
CTR
Regarding the clics metric, this shouldn't be equal to the sessions of organic traffic that you get? In Adwords, a clic is a session.
What I see is that clics are not sessions and I am a bit surprised of this. Why are they different in this report?
Thanks and regards

Hi there,
Yes, you are right, I should have specified the kind of report I was talking about.
Ok, I know what you mean but I don't understand a big discrepancy. I would count with small difference which make sense not this.
For the same time range, look at this discrepancy:
-
Clics on the landing pages report under Search Engine Optimization Section in Google Analytics are 13007
-
The number of organic search sessions under channels section in GA are 3995
-
Number of clics on Google Webmaster Tools / Search Traffic / Search queries / Landing pages tab: 1719
Does this make sense?
Thanks and regards

It took me a minute to figure out what you meant but you should have specified that you meant the landing page report under the Search Engine Optimization Section in Google Analytics. The Search Engine Optimization section pulls its data from Google Webmaster Tools, which is known for having data that is completely accurate.
This is data as reported from Google's end and not by the analytics code on your website. Someone could have clicked your search result and then hit the back button before loading your page or users could have javascript disabled, which would skew the data. I wouldn't use this tool as more than a rough estimate. The data is not going to match up with analytics, so you shouldn't expect it to.

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? Organic reports showing a URL that isn't in Search Ask Question
In the image I've attached you can see that I have pulled a source/medium > google organic report. I've also made "landing page" my secondary dimension. The first landing page that is showing up is /v3/?slug=fnl, that is this page (https://orders.freshnlean.com/v3/?slug=fnl). You can see that the page has 230 sessions from Sep 3 - 9 and 17 transactions during that same time frame. The only thing is, that landing page is nowhere to be found in the SERPs. So how is it showing up in this report as having received google organic visitors that converted if it's not even in search? 05OclDp

What's the difference between landing pages and entrance pages on Google Analytics?
I'm confused about the difference between entrance pages and landing pages on Google Analytics. If I compare our search traffic to entrance pages with search traffic to landing pages it seems very similar -- but not identical. But this is probably because all of our GA analytics is sampled (we're a huge site). Can anyone help?

How Do I Create Custom Reports In GA For First Click Attribution?
It only took me a year and a half to get the code Will Critchlow laid out in a blog post last year put on my website. Now I've finally got it but I need more instruction on how to create the custom report I need in GA! Will said he was going to expand on how to set up the custom reports but I'm not sure he ever did. So, can anyone either direct me to Will's follow-up post about setting up custom reports for first click attribution or tell me how to do it? Thanks!
