Doug pointed out the pain we feel. Waiting on Google development team.
In the meantime, if there are critical items that you need pushed to your attention, a lesser (temporary) solution may be to set up alerts to trigger you view the data when a goal is reached.
Google analytics > select profile > settings (cog icon) > profiles > assets > create new custom alert (button)
Choose a period (day, week, month).
Choose "<label>Send me an email when this alert triggers.</label>" and you can add additional emails too.
A stop-gap to know when thing happen?
Also, have you considered setting up a dashboard? (or you may already have). Home tab > dashboards. It may not arrive in your inbox, but a link to the correct page is a quick method to get to key GA data you may be monitoring.
While you are there, peek at Real-Time (beta) link for interesting actions in [close to] real time at your site.

It's not there yet. This was the latest update I could find in the Google Analytics Blog:
An update on the new version of Google Analytics (Jan 18th)

Different statistics in Google Analytics
Hi! A client of mine is having some trouble on his Google Analytics overview. When he checks the yearly report with number of visitors, new visitors, returning, ... he gets statistics that doesn't match mine. Also, he gets a notation from Google that no hits were fired, although the script is still there. On the other hand, I (logged in with another account) am seeing all statistics correctly. FYI: no filters were installed, nor segments, ... Why does the client see different and incorrect statistics? There should be a setting or something I'm overseeing. Hope you guys can help.

Two of Four Google Analytics Views Not Showing Data
Question for you MOZ friends: We added two new views about a week ago, the same views that we have added for more than 50 Accounts, and they are not showing any data. The views are for 'Filtered Traffic' (no IPs or spam) and 'Organic Only' including only the organic medium. Any ideas why this may not be working? First time we've come across this and couldn't find much help researching it... Thanks as always! street%20ga_zpsorfdnemi.png

Google Analytics goals only show unique event triggers
I have some goals in GA which is linked to different event triggers. However I've found out that the goal is only showing the unique event triggers and not the total. I need it to show the total in order to be accurate. Is there any way to switch that option? I can't find any options like that in GA or guides to do so.

Save a Google Analytics account
We recently started with a client who has Google Analytics already installed on their current site, but they have no idea the account login for it? Is there anyway to transfer ownership of this just based on the code?

Best way to generate analytics reports for listing style website
I'm working on a website that includes dedicated pages for ~40 local businesses, and I need to be able to generate and export some basic reports I can send to each business. The data I need for each report is split between general sitewide data: total number of visitors to the site for month. number of visitors to each main category page what country they are from (main countries) - top 5 traffic source / keywords avg time on site As well as specific data for each individual page: how many people viewed specific total pages Time spent on individual page. Would this be possible with custom reports in analytics? I can see the number of different reports being difficult to maintain, especially as site grows. Anyone had expereince on a similar site of ideas on the best way to do this? Thanks
