Creating a daily to-do list for SEO my website
-
Hi all,
I'm very new here, and I'm quite slow in terms of learning things. Now I've had MOZ for about one and half month, but still only just understand to use on-page grade to SEO my site.
I've been spending quite a bit money (for a small business) for online marketing: facebook adverts $50 a day; google adwords $10 a day; MOZ $99 a month... However, the conversion rate isn't ideal... only less than 2%
Now what I'm trying to do is, while keep doing the cash burning online adverts, do more SEO on a daily basis. Can I please ask: other than optimise 5 pages' on-page grade, what else should I include into my daily SEO to-do list?
Many thanks!

Is there a PM function on this site? I don't really wanna share my IP to public:)

Might be that your IP address got blocked somehow. We lock down our sites really strong. If you supply your ip address, I can make sure it's unblocked

There are a lot of ways to save money, and do your SEO for less cost.
FaceBook: What are the details of your ads? Do you target local or nationwide? Are you promoting the page or a certain post? Advertising on FB can be tricky, and may take you a few ad runs to find out what resonates with your audience. $50 a day isnt that bad, considering that most FB ads don't use the full amount. Could be you just need a few killer posts to really get your page promoted and more likes. I don't see this as a big conversion source platform, (unless your posts are conversion-focused) but it could help to raise better brand awareness.
Google Adwords:
What type of campaign are you running? Do you target only a few keywords, or are you running multiple ads? You can keep the cost of your ads lower by getting a higher ad rank. This is based on the quality score of your ad and landing page. Better quality can lead to lower costs Learn more here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2454010If you are looking for direct conversions, (I'm assuming you are since you state that "However, the conversion rate isn't ideal... only less than 2%") I would add more into your Adwords budget and diversify your keyword targets. Decide on a set amount you want to spend daily per keyword, and keep track of your ads and performance. Create a separate page for goal tracking from PPC in analytics to see what ads are worth keeping, and which ones need to be modified.
MOZ:
The more you help people, the better it works out for you. The points system works in your favor. You help the community, you gain points. If you gain more than 200 per month you get a free month of MOZ pro. I'm guessing this is their way of saying "you scratch our back, we'll scratch yours"Since you are trying to learn more about SEO, here is a post we did about how to analyze your competitors. This can be the fastest way to see what works for your industry, and how your high ranking competitors get conversions. A few other sites to learn (besides this one) are Search Engine Land and SEO Roundtable
Hope this points you in the right direction! If you need additional help, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Thanks Andy, for your prompt reply.
I think this http://seoservices.dotsquares.com/blog/daily-seo-checklist/ is too general, is there a link on this page that gives more details? I seem can't find it.
Less than 2% (1.6% ~ 1.7% more accurate) is the conversion rate I got from GA, not individually measured yet as I just started FB adverts.
I'm not new 'new' to SEO (went through beginner's guide long time ago), but just lost with so many available tools at MOZ... and I can't find many useful data/insight about my site since we are only a starter business...
Anyway, thanks for your input. I will see what more other experts suggest.

Hi
The very basics would be http://seoservices.dotsquares.com/blog/daily-seo-checklist/ they are my must every day, but it all depends on how much time you can spend on SEO.
If you are really new to SEO try reading this blog on the moz site: http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo
Regarding conversion rates, I don't like FB advertising I have never been able to get it to work, so if you can get 2% from FB well done.
2% from Adwords, thats still quite impressive. I would like to get that as a basic level on all my campaigns, however I run campaigns that are far better than 2% to compensate for the ones that under perform, but are essential to long term business plans.
Hope they are useful links for you.
Thanks
Andy

Site with 2 domains - 1 domain SEO opimised & 1 is not. How best to handle crawlers?
Situation: I have a dual domain site:
Getting Started | | DGAU
Domain 1 - www.domain.com is SEO optimised with product pages and should of course be indexed.
Domain 2 - secure.domain.com is not SEO optimised and simply has checkout and payment gateway pages. I've discovered that Moz automatically crawls Domain 2 - the secure.domain.com site and consequently picks up hundreds of errors.
I have put an end to this by adding a robots.txt to stop rogerbot and dotbot (mozs crawlers) from crawling domain 2. This fixes my errors in Moz reports however after doing more research into 'Crawler Control' I figure this might be the best option. My Question: Instead of using robots.txt to stop moz from crawing all of Domain 2 should I use on each page of domain 2? I believe this would then allow moz and google to crawl Domain 2 but also tell them both not to index it.
My understanding is that this would be best, and might even help my overall SEO by telling google not to give any SEO value to the Domain 2 pages?0 -
8 hotel aggregate website - initial set up?
Before I get ahead of myself, I thought I'd ask the community for a quick assist: We have 8 hotels set up under a single domain aggregate website: staypineapple.com
Getting Started | | PHC-TOM
staypineapple.com/the-maxwell-hotel-seattle-wa
staypineapple.com/hotel-five-seattle-wa
staypineapple.com/the-alise-chicago-il
and so on. Should I technically set up the 8 hotels as separate tracked campaigns, complete with new branded search terms, broad search terms and such? Is this best practice? Thank you in advance for any assistance!0 -

So the page-grader is giving my site an A, but it is ranking below some websites that the grader gives an F to. What is the point of the page grader?
Basically, I am new to this..very new. In fact, my field was neuroscience, and now I work in marketing.. I just started using seomoz, and for one website that I build. I followed all of the guidelines moz has to offer. On the grade section, I got an for a specific keyword. However, when I rate my site for that keyword, it does not even rank in the top 50. The keyword is even in the domain! Also, some sites that rank in the top 25 have an F rating for the same keyword. Why do they rank higher?
