Hello ,

the important question now , how i can get my first keywords ranking ..
please help me
Thanks -
Good afternoon!
Given the recent release of this update, it's probably early days to be giving advice on how to overcome it, beyond the guess that as Pigeon appears to be favoring directories more on some queries, it's extremely important to have a strong presence on whichever directories Google is surfacing for your core keyword phrases.
From what I can see, the dust hasn't yet settled on this update. Check out Linda Buquet's day-to-day documentation of results for a specific query (the results show numerous changes):
The one line I keep coming back to in this update is from Barry Schwartz' article (http://searchengineland.com/google-makes-significant-changes-local-search-ranking-algorithm-197778)
Google told us that the new local search algorithm ties deeper into their web search capabilities, including the hundreds of ranking signals they use in web search along with search features such as Knowledge Graph, spelling correction, synonyms and more.
I am still trying to consider what 'web search capabilities' might mean, in the larger picture of things and what this says about the organic influence on local SERPs, but because examples seem so varied, I just haven't drawn a conclusion on this. A small business website is unlikely to 'out-organic' a big directory like Yelp, so where does this leave SMBs? Right now, I have more questions than answers. I hope the community will continue to discuss!

Assuming you are a local business, and the real reason is pigeon (vs. this just being coincidental timing), then the first thing to do is make sure your Google+ Local page is optimized, with a consistent Name/Address/Phone number. Also, make certain that your categories are accurate. (There was an article this morning about Expedia being improperly displayed as a Hotel due to improper category.)
Beyond that , other early analysis of Pigeon stresses the increases importance of local directories. So, focus on making sure your NAP info is consistent across the web, and that you optimize your listings on all directories.

It looks like we lost 50% of our traffic from the 24th onwards and a bunch of keywords (though most of the traffic hit seems to come from the long tail)
Existing reports on Pigeon seem to be around local search but this isn't an area that we are interested in. We've also been producing lots of great content (from feedback from our customers) over the last month and increasing our traffic so the hit is even more gutting.

Fastest way to get new backlinks recognised by Moz?
Hi all, I have seen a few discussions / advice pieces around this, but wondered what the current view is on the fastest way to get new backlinks recognised by Moz? I have seen people say that the content needs to be shared (e.g. on Twitter), and advice around creating Bitly links. I am not convinced that these techniques are working. On a related note, my website is very large. I have around 2.5m pages. Most of these pages are 3-4 clicks from the home page, but I have a small amount of important content much higher up in the site (1-2 clicks from the home page). Does Moz crawl pages nearer the home page more frequently, or does it make a pass of all pages on the site before it starts at the beginning again? If it makes a complete pass of all pages, then presumably making my site smaller will help to get Moz to see new content more quickly? Is there any other value to be gained in making a large site smaller? Many thanks in advance, Neil.

Moz showing +3M new inbound links. But nowhere to find them?
Hi there Moz is showing a +3M backlink rise in the dashboard for one of our domains. The site has always had around 350K backlinks and in Ahrefs and Majestic it still shows this number. But Moz shows a growth of +3M in the last two weeks. Is there a way to see where these backlinks come from in OSE? I can't seem to understand how it is possible to see this somehow. Can it be a mistake of Moz maybe?

OSE results vs. Google
Is OSE still a worthy analyzer of the factors breaking down Google rank of a page or website? More so over the past six months, I've seems to noticed how the page comparison in OSE seems to have less and less correspondence to Google rank. For instance, I'm analyzing sites where the top result has a Page Authority rank of 11, Subdomain MozRank of 3.53, outranking a page coming in in spot #14 with Page Authority of 36, Subdomain MozRank of 3.94. I see this frequently, that by the factors measured in OSE, a certain page with favorable scores is being outranked by a page with poor OSE scores. Of course, I realize how sophisticated Google's algorithm is and the OSE can't reverse engineer the whole thing. Also, there are lots of other factors, such as personalized search results, banklink velocity, and who's in my G+ circles, that isn't taken into account in OSE. Yet, I see this more-and-more, where websites kicking ass in OSE measurements rank poor, and poor websites ranked in OSE come out near the top in Google. So, given this, where OSE is apparently a less effective tool to help analyze the factors building Google rank as Google evolves and values brand, what should a chap do? I already know the predictable answers of do RCS, build your community, and so on. But, I want to know what's driving the juice behind these top ranking websites, and OSE doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore... Your thoughts?
