Advantage of using LocalBusiness rich snippets?
-
I am working on a website that has company profile pages. What are the advantages of using LocalBusiness rich snippets for profiles?
-
Looking for the benefits of using this markup (https://schema.org/LocalBusiness) for profiles.
Note: the website lists company information on profile pages, it is not a local business website.

Hey Calif,
Nice answer from Sachin. I just want to be clear what types of rich snippets you're referring to. Want to be sure you're receiving the right feedback:)

Hi Calf,
This data helps search engines like Google understand specific details about your local business website, and helps you appear in the most relevant local search results with rich snippet data as well as your picture from your Google+ profile.
However, any attempt to mark-up content that is invisible to users, or content that is irrelevant/misleading just to generate the rich snippet may result in action being taken against your website
Here are some of the benefits of using Local Business rich snippets:
- Provide greater information to search engines to improve their understanding about your business and of the content on your website.
- It can act as an authentication for a business address if it matches the Google Business Listing, in doing so improve local SEO.
- Implementing rich snippets can have a huge impact on how your pages perform in the search engines.
- It may help to increase visibility in the search results
- It can improve click through rates and attract more targeted traffic
- It can give your pages some competitive advantage as well
For local search, highlighting your location will mean that a search engine understands your business location better and your address may appear in the search result as a rich snippet.

Using Google structured Data for SEO benefit
Hi there I run www.isacleanse.com.au and I've set up some Structured data using Google Webmaster Tools which says it will be picked up during the next Google update (has been set up over 4 weeks ago), however I dont seem to see any of the structured data for the products/reviews/ratings etc coming through in search results. Question at hand: Is there additional things I need to do in the code of the website or should this be sufficient? (see attached screenshot) szpFUpX

Would it be inappropriate use of authorship mark-up for a directory profile?
If a business creates a profile in a directory and adds their Google+ page, and they add the domain/profile URL as a publisher they contribute to, is that a legit use? They are the author of the business profile, but it's not an article.

Any benefit to using HeadSpace AND All in One?
I noticed that somewhere along the line (outside developer or SEO) I ended up with HeadSpace AND All in One on one of my WP sites. There are functions that I appreciate with both and I wonder if there is any danger to completing both forms for a post or page? Is there really any benefit or just a waste of time? I keep finding articles that compare the 2, but nothing that talks about using them together. If I get rid of All in One, …. WOW. Mid question, i realized I'm a dum-dum. All in One has the same no follow options I thought I would miss from HeadSpace. So new question…if I uninstall headspace, will I lose the data/settings that it was used to set up? Jenn

Why isn't our site being shown on the first page of Google for a query using the exact domain, when its pages are indeed indexed by Google
When I type our domain.com as a query into Google, I only see one of our pages on the homepage, and it's in 4th position. It seems though, that all pages of the site are indexed by google when I type in the query "site:domain.com". There was an issue at the site launch, where the robots.txt file was left active for around two weeks. Would this have been responsible for the fact that another domain ranks #1 when we type in our own domain? It has been around a couple of months now since the site was launched. Thanks in advance.

Using H3-4 tags in the footer or sidebars: good or not?
Howdy SEOmoz fans! Is it considered a good / bad / neutral practice to include H tags in the footer, as a mean to group a few links? Take http://www.seomoz.org/ for instance: - Voted Best SEO Tool 2010! = H2

- Looking for SEO consulting? = H3
- Product and Tools = H3 Company = H3 etc. I often see the same principle applied to sidebars. I feel like because they don't contribute to the actual content structure and because they are repeated from page to page, we should avoid them, but I have nothing to back my intuition. [+] Perhaps they are helpful for usability (screen readers) and thin added value (i.e. category names that carry more weight than if they weren't headers). What do you think? Thanks for your time.1 -
Advantages of wordpress over dreamweaver
I have a site that I have built with dreamweaver (local service business not a lot of new content needing to be added) and I am curious how much of an advantage for me converting it to wordpresss would be. I see that cs5 works with wordpress and that lynda.com has a tutorial on integrating the two. I would like to integrate a blog into my site, but it is not totally critical that I do so. I would just like to hear what some of you experienced users have to say about the advantages of wordpress vs dreamweaver from an SEO prospective.

How to "rich-content" optimized!
Hi mozzers! How to optimize really a rich index.php of a page, with a keyword example: " mobile " what kind of things to include, video, comments, images, how many words, manually meta-descriptons or to leave it empty to take automatically the googlebot a snippet! Tell us more on this, because we forget sometimes the rich-content-optimized and only concentrated on the link-building. Thanks,
