Can you bid on trademarked keywords?

Google has various rules surrounding bidding on and using other businesses' trademarked keywords in ads. My understanding is that you can bid on the trademarked key phrases but you cannot use the in your ads. Is that correct?

You can get your competitor's trademarked terms to appear in your ads. There's a simple loophole, 3 words: dynamic keyword insertion. Boom.

You can bid on competitors trademark but it depends on who is your competitor but there are exception for reseller and you have taken authorization from website owner. They have different policy for "trademark terms used in ad text, "trademark terms used in keywords", "trademark terms used in display URL". You can find more about it here:

You got it. While you can have your ads trigger for a trademarked/competitors' term, you won't be able to use it in your ad copy, therefore, your quality scores on those terms will always be low.
I would put it in a separate campaign for that reason.

If you add the trademark in the adtext the ad could be declined, I think companies can run into trouble if they use competitor brand names in ad text as it could look like passing off.

hi, I have a google adwords account running for a while in a fairly competitive market in a major city so there is only one geo location with many suburbs or council areas as popular searched. I have keywords that are 2-4 words long and very similar. I have had one keyword in its own campaign, several in one campaign and a location campaign. The location campaign has several adgroups for specific suburbs. Can Google shopping listings affect SEO rankings?
Hello everyone. Here is my question: Until 4 weeks ago we used to have just around 2,000 product/pages on Google shopping of our product pages, then we added over 40,000 more items/pages to it, and our Google natural search rankings dropped on most of our long-tail keywords pointing to the same product pages. Do you think that's just coincidence or could the number of products/pages on Google shopping affect natural search results?

Hello, We have customized product and we charge Handling Charge + Shipping Charge for blow $9.99 price products, other products not have Handling Cost but only Shipping Cost. If I apply Shipping Price from Merchant Center Shipping Table then it is required to mention Shipping Cost + Handling Cost at Shipping attributes? Exact url dynamic keyword insertion
A competitor of ours is using dynamic keyword insertion for exact urls in our field. I'm not 100% clear on this, but isn't that not allowed in adwords? I am not one that usually turns in a competitor for shady doings, but I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?

Do Google Autofill and Instant Search affect Adwords' Keyword Tool reports?
While performing keyword research around the term "windows", I noticed the keyword "windo" gets 18,000 global monthly searches with .23 competition. Why is this? Do y'all think the Google Autofill and Instant Search features affect reports generated by using the Google Adwords keyword tool? For example, if a user starts typing a search query only to find the site they were looking for before they finished typing the search query, does Google count the partial keyword the user never finished typing into the Adwords Keyword report? I've always wondered about this. Sometimes I find it tempting to attack a misspelled keyword because of the massive search volume and low competition for that keyword. I realize that many consumers may not be very good at spelling, and this may reflect a large search volume towards a misspelled keyword. On the other hand, I see this trend of high volume, misspelled keywords many times while performing keyword research for a variety of clients. Thanks.

Keyword domains for AdWords - duplicate content an issue
Hi guys, A client of mine has bought a raft of keyword domains for use in an AdWords campaign. This isn't my area of expertise, hence the question. They have a hosting account which can host an unlimited number of domains. Can they set up the domains with the same content on each site and then use AdWords to drive traffic to the sites? I've suggested they can use rel="canonical" to specify that the preferred site is the main site of the company which should bypass the duplicate content issue.
