Any data for Google results page click through rates?
-
Hi.
Trying to find data for click through rate for the Google search results page?
If I run Adwords, do I want a PLA listing or a text listing? Or do I work on PLA + Organic or Text + Organic?
What percentages do each position get approximately?
E-commerce website. Technology sector.
Any help?

Hi,
As I said that there is no such data available in public domain. I would like to suggest you to start with search campaign only and to get high CTR use keyword in Ad headline, use call to action and don't forget to use Ad extensions.
***Initially use only restricted match type (Exact match Type) with few similar keywords in every Ad group . e.g 5-10 keywords.
Thanks

It depends on too many variables to give an accurate answer.
The only way to know for sure is to test. Set a reasonable test budget and run the campaigns.

What I mean is, if I have "X" product. And I want to start a PPC campaign, is there any data to tell me Text Ads perform generally better than PLA's?
Is there any data that shows that the top 3 text ads get 22% of the clicks, the PLA's get 30% of the clicks and organic gets 10% of the clicks?
Something like that.

Hi,
As you mentioned that you have eCommerce website then you should start with Search campaign & Google shopping campaign.
I don't understand this part "do I work on PLA + Organic or Text + Organic?"
"What percentages do each position get approximately?"
No body can tell you exact or even approx numerical CTR value because that varies for each websites and CTR depends on several other things e.g location setting, daily budget etc. You can only get idea by running Adwords campaign for your website.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Unsolved Google Ads - Subdomain on Sitelinks & Composition Change for Strategy Status
I have a basic query but could not find a definite answer on the internet. I am currently running a campaign for the main website of a big education brand and they also have a secondary learning website on subdomain, and I want to add sitelinks of subdomain to the campaign, but I am not sure whether it is allowed or not. The brand I am running ads for is https://www.rauias.com/ and the secondary website is https://compass.rauias.com/ branded slightly different in a subdomain, so should I add the sitelinks of Compass to the main campaign? Also one more silly question My Max Conversion search campaign gave me this status today. "Learning (composition change): Campaigns have been added to or removed from the bid strategy. Google Ads is now adjusting to optimize bids. 5 days left for learning" What does this mean exactly? And Why does it reenter the learning phase whenever I make a small change?

Google Analytics and WorldPay - Tracking Sales/Conversions
Hi there, I recently remember reading somewhere that tracking code could be used to monitor sales/conversions of eCommerce payments that went through WorldPay. I've been looking around the web for news stories, forums, discussions, but all seem to be from 2007 - 2011; was just wondering if anyone knew any up-to-date info they could point me towards? Thanks

Adding nyc to a keyword in Google Adwords
Hello. If I have a keyword in Google Adwords that is using phrase match ("keyword"), could it be useful to add the keyword phrase "keyword nyc"? Even if I did not add the second keyword phrase, my ad would be triggered if someone searched for "keyword nyc." So would it be redundant to add the second keyword phrase? Thank you!

PPC Landing Pages and Rel Canonical
Hi Mozzers! Our company has hundreds of PPC landing pages which are essentially request a quote forms. We also have a request a quote form on our website that is for regular traffic. Currently we just added the "noindex" meta tag to all our PPC landing pages, but I think we can improve this. Should we remove the "noindex" tag, and instead add a rel canonical link pointing to our "main" request a quote form? Thoughts?

Do Google Autofill and Instant Search affect Adwords' Keyword Tool reports?
While performing keyword research around the term "windows", I noticed the keyword "windo" gets 18,000 global monthly searches with .23 competition. Why is this? Do y'all think the Google Autofill and Instant Search features affect reports generated by using the Google Adwords keyword tool? For example, if a user starts typing a search query only to find the site they were looking for before they finished typing the search query, does Google count the partial keyword the user never finished typing into the Adwords Keyword report? I've always wondered about this. Sometimes I find it tempting to attack a misspelled keyword because of the massive search volume and low competition for that keyword. I realize that many consumers may not be very good at spelling, and this may reflect a large search volume towards a misspelled keyword. On the other hand, I see this trend of high volume, misspelled keywords many times while performing keyword research for a variety of clients. Thanks.
