Review of my site, just starting seo and looking for any tips
-
Hello,
Just after advice for a website I've recently relaunched, started very basic seo. However having loads of pages it’s hard to dedicate the time to get the on-site seo completed.
Question for Ecommence sites, do we really need to individually content on all pages?
I've also start link building & will be setting up blog, Am debating which task too complete first Or maybe combination of them all.
I think due to my dyslexia I keep putting the blog off as you can properly tell English is definitely not one of my strengths.
Anyway am looking for advice not just on seo , design too, what your opinions ?
I have good concept for marketing just learning the ways to implement it, my website sportingdesires dot com. I believe everyone desires some kind of sport or fitness activity, a hobby you enjoy... mine is football (soccer) hence why I started selling branded football merchandise and ventured into Rugby, Basketball and American football. Will be adding other sports, really need to impermanent a blog... all in good time I suppose.
Sorry for my rambling please leave any feedback good or bad I promise I won’t hunt ya down (lol) in all serious am just looking for eyes from people it always help to get mixed reviews and opinions.
If you’ve read this far well done and thanks

Hi Stephen
Along with the awesome advice above, I would also check the Fetch as Google tool in your Search Console, so you can see what Google sees. I would also make sure you didn't receive any JS/CSS notifications as well.
After all of that, I would pick your high value keywords/queries and run them through the SERP Analysis Report so you can start seeing what directions you're going to have to head in order to increase your rankings.
Please do go through the links that Umar provided as they will help you build a solid foundation moving forward.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Hey Stephen,
First of all welcome to the world of SEO, I am sure you will get the grip on all the channels very soon.

https://moz.com/blog/perfecting-onpage-optimization-for-ecommerce-websitesFor your question regarding the on page fixing, yes you should fix all the pages. But, fix the important ones first. If you have analytics installed, go and check your important pages and start fixing them one by one. If you haven't installed the analytics, then target the pages that you think are important.
Currently your site requires proper on page fixing, plus the design needs some revamp. There are lots of white spaces that can be utilized. Plus, the header section is bit crowded too. Seems you haven't build lot of links for this also.
I'm sure after carefully reading the above links, you're be able to get the desired results.
Remember, SEO requires patience and it's the game of experiments.
Hope this helps!
Good luck!
Umar

How many reviews should i have previewed for marking up a page?
I have a separate /reviews URL, but want to markup the main page with aggregate reviews and also add preview reviews on there. Roughly, how many reviews do I need on the page in order to markup with aggregate review?

Google Reviews Rich Snippets
Howdy Moz fans! Does anyone know if you can use Google Reviews as a Rich Snippet in the actual Google listing for your business? It seems strange that you can have this for widgets like Trust Pilot and Reviews.co.uk and not Google Reviews. Surely Google allow you to display Google reviews on your site that can then be used for schema mark up? Maybe they don't because those reviews are used for local searches? Hope this makes sense. David.

Google crawling item page reviews
Hi Moz community, I've been trying to do some on-site work and noticed that our product pages reviews may not be totally optimized. It used to be that all of the text from the reviews appeared in the actual code of the page, but now none of that text appears, so it may not be getting crawled. The change was most likely released when we had an item page redesign. However, when I Google a review snippet, it does seem to come up, so maybe Google is crawling that data despite it not being SEO optimized. Is this really an issue if the review snippets are showing up in search, there's been a lot of talk that Google is now better at crawling javascript. Thanks

Why does Google return 1 star reviews in local listings as the "most helpful"?
I have a client who has recently received two 1 star reviews on Google local (unhappy customer and unhappy customers boyfriend). This is affecting an otherwise flourishing business as these two 1 star reviews are displayed prominently when you search for the brand in Google. They have since received more positive reviews, however Google insists on displaying, what they term, the "most helpful" reviews first. Why are these 1 star reviews deemed "most helpful"? In all honesty, they aren't even really that helpful, with the latter verging on slanderous. We are in the process of reporting this one as it personally attacks a member of staff, however, whilst we tentatively wait weeks for a response, I wondered if anyone has any idea on how G decides which reviews are "most helpful"? When there is no option for other users to rate these reviews as helpful (such as on play store).

Indeed reviews
Hi guys, Is there any way I can respond or have a review deleted from one of my clients' profile on Indeed.com? Is there a mediation process of any sort? Thanks.

Google Reviews
We operate a printing company, and at the moment we have two locations in Houston, Texas. Our newest location just opened and so it has no reviews and no real content on Google +. A very satisfied customer seems to have posted two back to back reviews on the second location and it now seems that location no longer pulls up. It used to be that when you googled our business name that both locations pulled up it seems to pull just first more well established location. The second location can still be found but for whatever reason it no longer shows up with our other results. Should we tell the client to remove one of the reviews? I hope we don't get penalized for this Appreciate your feedback. C

Schema Reviews
Question about using Schema reviews. I believe I've set everything up correctly, and the Google Rich Snippets tool displays that I have...however in the SERP and on the page instead of displaying a graphic of four stars, it displays "4/5 stars" text. The Rich Snippet tool says that it should be displaying the graphic though. Anyone have experience with Schema and know if there's an extra step to take to display the graphic? Thank you!
