No employees so will a search engine optimisation company work me?
-
I'm self-employed and run two different companies solely by myself there is no employees but I contacted the two UK SEO companies which are recommended on Moz both of them based in London, but after sending them emails and speaking to them on the phone neither contacted me about they must think I'm too small. Do you find that small one-man band companies find it hard to get a SEO to work for them because my budget will be too small?
The company I would like to improve the rankings on is a Whitby Holidat Cottages letting agency in Whitby www.EndeavourCottge.co.uk with 10 properties, so obviously I can't afford a large budget but I could happily afford a monthly subscription if they could do necessary works for me do you think this sounds feasible? Or am I better just continuing and trying to make the time to do the work myself even I'm not that expertise.
What is your thoughts and experience? Thank you Alan Davidson

There are SEOs (like myself) who do SEO full time for a company then also do SEO as a part time role outside of working hours just to get a bit of an income boost. I have some customers who pay me as and when they want me to work and some who pay me £50 a month just to do some work for them.
I would just be wary and ask to see some of the sites they have worked on.
If you want to find these kinds of people, try sites like freelancer, seochat forums, elance. There's a load of seo forums and freelance sites that are more suited.

Hi Alan, I think that is a problem that a lot of "one-man-bands" struggle with.
This was also one of the reasons why Fiverr was created. You can look at SEO services here: https://www.fiverr.com/categories/online-marketing/seo-services/#layout=auto&page=1
!Warning! There are some services that aren't really white-hat, but there are also a lot of good people on Fiverr. Be sure to check reviews and comments from customers.
Best regards,

I agree with Laura. I want to add this that the years of studying and working on websites will never be replaced by reading an article and winging it. Unfortunately it really depends on the amount of work needed to get you the ROI you want and your willingness to understand Time is a very serious thing in SEO .
Different company both are different prices for good reason many companies that do not charge a lot unfortunately for the consumer for people that will say yes to any job and by doing so they are doing you a huge disservice because you will not Achievers what you wanted.
Frankly Google asks a lot more from a site owner these days and therefore we have to be more proficient and more up-to-date one thing to keep in mind is most people are reasonable. I do believe that you get what you pay for I would like to hear more about this job just as a exercise for everyone on the site. You might find the perfect Agency or and/or people
Please forgive my writing I am on a cell phone using voice recognition

Take heart. There are a lot of great SEO companies out there who will strive to work within your budget. We try to offer options so that clients with smaller budgets can afford our services, but that usually means our work is stretched over a longer period of time. In such cases, it's important to understand that it will probably take longer to see results. This can be a good option for business owners who understand the need to invest in SEO but can't afford a large retainer.

2 Facebook Company Pages - Best way to merge
Hi I am about to set up a Facebook company page under our current brand name Key - however in March we'll be re-branding to Manutan UK. I didn't want to wait until March to start using Facebook (we're so behind!) but when we re-brand what are the best steps to take. Here are my options - I'd love some help! 1. Set up a Key company to actively use now & a separate Manutan page just to secure the page - only using Key until March then merge the business pages (I did read however Facebook won't allow it if the names are different?) 2. Set up a Key page now & in March request a name change of the page & vanity URL We obviously don't want to lose any likes/followers we've gained between now & March Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Thank you

Is there Anyway of finding out a companies facebook shares?
Is there anyway of finding out a companies facebook shares. When I checked out a competitor of one of my clients who seems to be very well placed without many links I discovered that they have over 298 facebook shares on Open Site Explorer but when I look at their site or search on facebook I cannot find any business facebook page for this company so I am really intrigued to find out where they are getting these shares from? Does anyone have any ideas?

Google+, Link from My Site to Author's Google+ Page or to Company Google+
Recently I verified authorship for my Website. So the image from my personal Google+ account appears in search results. My website has a Google+ social media button. Should the link point to my corporate Google+ account or to my personal Google+ account? What is more credible from Google's point of view? What are best practices for this issue? Look forward to hearing from the MOZ community. THANKS!!!

Social Media and Local Search results
Hello, I have profiles in several social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. When I search with my name on google.com the profiles are showing on the first page, but when I do a local search, the profiles start showing in the end of the second page. I'm very active in my social media profiles, and I don't know why is this happening. How long does it take for the profiles to show on the first page in local search? Can I do anything to speed up the process?

On the new Google+ Local pages, I was wondering if anyone knew how to add the "Follow" button to lead to the company Google+ profile.
I saw a video on an Internet marketing blog that showed a company's Google+ Local page with a "Follow" button on it so people could follow their company Google+ profile.

Twitter Username: Keyword or Company Name?
Hello everybody! I'm in doubt with which one is the best: To have a Twitter profile name with: 1)the company's name.
Social Media | | seomasterbrasil
Of course it's good for branding, but it's a B2B, industrial market. 2)a relevant keyword.
Will it bring traffic, considering that is a B2B, that works different. The question is: does Google gives relevance to username with keyword in it? If yes, have it a great value, or should I use the company name? Thanks! =]0
