Outsourcing Blog Articles
-
I have two businesses, one is my main bread and butter and the other is an invest and try to grow type of business. This second business is a nature / education related business, so I would like to have a repository of informative nature articles with some splashes of our experience with that particular plant or animal.
I spend a lot of time on SEO and article writing on my main business, but I am running out of myself to go around. I would like to outsource article / blog writing on my second businesses, but I'm not sure where to start. If I use one of those work for hire sites in the Moz outsourced content article, can I get them to format the blog with photos as well. I need to have a complete as possible final product. Ideally, I'm thinking of this process:
1. Give the outsourced writer the subject matter (i.e. article about right whales)
2. I provide my own photography or photos I have purchased
3. Writer researches subject matter and writes an informative article
4. Writer logs into my blog and formats the article with interesting fonts and the photos I have provide
5. I edit the article to add my own experience with the subject matter
6. I publish the article
I'm thinking I would do this twice a month. Is this a reasonable thing to outsource? Could it work this way? Any idea what an article like this might cost me? I'm doing some marketing budget planning. Thanks in advance!

Outsource to legitimate people only.
Some use a script to babble together a bunch of nonsense, you don't want that. Some outsource what you outsource to them to fiverr and you get a poor quality grammar and spelling.
If I were you, i would not just find a writer, but an SEO-savvy copywriter for websites. I would also give them #5 before they write the article. Just review it afterwards and publish, not a crazy deal of changes. This way the SEO-savvy copywriter can use the right long tail keyphrases and you won't screw it up by doing a final addition of your side to it.
I would stay away from services provided by non-local entities to your locality...

Good point.
You have to know about the quality in advance. An expert in your niche is always the best option.Although a good copywriter, normally has ethic. Therefore, it will be hard to convince changing his loyalties. Maybe looking in a related niche would be a more successful choose.

Lots of people are in the market for content. Some are really picky about quality. Some are not that picky. Some do not recognize quality. Some don't care.
I have a really hard time finding content that I will publish. It has to meet a "content expert" criteria and an "quality of writing" criteria. The best content that I have obtained from others has been from people who are already writing good content in my topic area. They have an active blog, have written books, or are professionals in the content area of the content. So, I go out looking for proven authors in the niche instead of people who offer themselves as writers. Me looking for them takes a lot less time than them coming to me or me giving people a chance to submit something.

Hi,
Good question. We always talk about fresh and relevant content.
There are different options on regard getting good articles. The frequency is highly related to the industry and the competitors. If your competitors are posting once a month, then twice a month will be enough. Although, if your competitors are adding new content every week, you might consider doing the same.
Related to the way to deliver, it could be with access to your website or a Word file, ready to copy and paste.
Not all good copywriters have WordPress' skills. Of course, those skills are best paid.
Fees starts at USD 0.2 per word. Normally you choose and pay the photos.Ma Verónica B.

Unsolved What should I do with WordPress Blog homepage
Hi, I have a large WordPress blog with thousands of posts. By default, the blog homepage contains the excerpt of each posts. As there are so many posts, the homepage is paginated(Totally 1341 pages) I use siteliner to check and find a lot of duplicate contents on the blog homepage. So, what should I do with it? Should I noindex the homepage and all the paginated pages accordingly? Thank you

Thousands of 404's showing up from Wordpress Blog!?!?
Hey guys, Have recently seen thousands of 404 errors thrown up from my wordpress blog in Google Search Console. These are URL's trying to link (i'm not sure where from) to other parts of my site, but they are not relative to the site root... infact they are a mix of random folders/subfolders and pages on my site. E.g: http://www.MYSITE.co.uk/blog/how-to/driving-to-the-alps/attachment/2013-land-rover-range-rover-evoque-front-snow-1/st-martin-de-belleville/chalet-st-martin-de-belleville/ski-holidays/ski-holidays/summer/st-martin-de-belleville/summer/your-stay-st-martin-de-belleville.html This is a link to a picture on the blog: http://www.MYSITE.co.uk/blog/how-to/driving-to-the-alps/attachment/2013-land-rover-range-rover-evoque-front-snow-1/ And the rest of it is finding it's own way there! Any ideas? This is Wordpress by the way. Cheers, Paul. p.s. I got no help from the Wordpress community so am posting here! p.p.s I forgot to mention that MOZ is reporting these issues too, but running Screaming Frog does NOT show any 404's at all on my site...

Should blog tags be location specific?
I understand the concept of organizing blogs with categories, but how specific should the tags on blog posts be? i.e. "cosmetic dentist" vs. "cosmetic dentist san francisco" I'm specifically using Squarespace if that helps. Thanks!

Which Blog Platform to link to an eCommerce site is best?
I just hired a content writer to blog on my site, but I want to make sure I have the right blog set up properly before doing so. I currently have my blog on my own domain. http://alturl.com/ixd7p It's a pretty crappy blog, to be quite frank. (The link to the blog is in the footer). It doesn't allow me to change category titles so it's throwing duplicate content - not good. I am seriously considering getting a self hosted Wordpress blog and linking that to my site instead at 3dcart- so it will be blog.domainname.comMy CONCERN.... I always heard that it's best to have the blog right right on the eCommerce site (just as I have it now) because it keeps feeding the domain fresh content. If I have a self hosted Wordpress blog and have it linked to my site, will it still feed my site fresh content?

Blog Post Snippets on HP & Cat Pages
I want my blog's category pages to have the ability to be indexed and rank, therefore I don't want to noindex these pages. My strategy is to create original snippets for each post on these pages but I don't know what Wordpress plugin or configuration I can use to create original snippet content on the Homepage and Category pages that will not show up within the blog post text itself. Any suggestions?

Should I delete my old blog now that it has been transfered?
I just transfered my free wordpress.com blog to my main business site and I did not know if I should delete my old blog or is it a big issue to have the same content on both sites. I will be adding to my biz site from now on.

Is Google Places appropriate for an ecommerce site and blogs
I'm working with a client that has an ecommerce site. He has e physical addresses where they work, however, neither would want customers to go to their office. Is it inappropriate to create a Google Places listing in this situation? I'm working with another client who runs a blog for his PR agency. Is it OK to create a Google Places listing for a blog? He would welcome people to visit his agency.
