Dodgy linkbuilding tactic?
-
Hello
I'm hoping someone can help...does the below link building tactic sound a bit suspect...
An editorial link (articles are subject to review) on a relevant, good authority site, however, it's free to submit an article and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of engagement/comments.
Here's the site in question if that helps! http://www.health-host.co.uk/
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi Alice,
Here are the metrics that I pulled from MozBar
PA: 46
mR: 5.63
mT: 5.76
3,804 links from
69 Root Domains
DA: 35
DmR: 5.05
DmT: 5.07
221,118 links from
455 Root Domains
Subdomain:
221,111 links from
453 Root Domains
Spam
Score:
2/17
Assuming that the content of that website is highly related to your niche, it looks fine. Though I strongly recommend that you check the local reviews.Mª Verónica B.

Linkbuild on 'new' or 'old' url?
Hi, I'm trying to rank for a keyword. For the last year and 4 months the rank hasn't changed much. It stays on the 3th page. Within this period the rank has first gone down and then up. Three months ago I started doing linkbuilding for the url the keyword was linked to. This is a main category page. Lately, I don't know when exactly I've discovered that the keyword is ranking for a different url, a product category of these items for 1 brand. I'm wondering if it's wise to shift my focus and start using the 'new' url for linkbuilding? The 'old' url isn't in the top 100 for the keyword. However, if you search for the url in Google, it shows up. And, if I'm advised to shift my focus to the 'new' url, is it advisable to go back and change the backlinks to the 'new' url? A question related to the above one, is there another tool like Open Site Explorer which shows you an overview of the backlinks directing to a deeplink? Like MajestickSEO. I'm trying to get the most extensive overview possible. Thanks in advance.

How Useful is this website for Linkbuilding
I've been looking at A to Z of materials trying to determine how much time it is worth spending on building a company profile and adding additional information http://www.azom.com/suppliers.aspx?SupplierID=2343 DA is 50+ and PA for a new listing seems to be 17 of so. My site currently has a DA of about 20. Once of my competitors seems to have put a lot of time into it Other than a profile you can also write articles and post news. It's worth pointing out that as a whole the sector has no useful blogs and most linkbuilding is done via directory listings. And Most companies have back links from less than 20 other root domains. Thoughts would be gratefully received

Who can tell me good linkbuilding companies in France, Italy, Spain and Danemark?
For one of my clients I am looking for trustworthy companies who can help me with (qualitative) linkbuilding (internal & external) for webshops in the following countries: France Germany Italy Spain Danemark The client has set up a seperate webshop per country - so there are several webshops on several domains. Therefore I would like to put a local linkbuilding company per country to help us get more organic traffic. Could anyone point me in the right direction ? Thanks in advance for your help.

Dodgy backlinks
I've got a new client who made the mistake of spending $5 on a sack load of dodgy links some time ago. I'm redoing his site, not set up analtics or WMT or anything yet, just starting on it but I had a look at his backlink profile and it's pretty shocking. Riddled with porn and money scams etc, but I'm concerned by the nature of one of the links....to the url is disturbing and I'm tempted to report them to the police. :(. If I use the disavow tool will it remove the links from my backlink profile altogether or just block the dodgy site? I want to disaccociate the site altogether.

Dodgy link profiles?!?!
Just started working on a new pharma based client in the UK. I have been carrying out some link profiling on page one results for several key terms and have discovered that almost all of the sites ranking in top positions appear to have all kinds of rubbish links (links in irrelevant content / articles, links in forum signatures, single page blogs and sites that appear to have little association with their products). These links seem to be about the only links some of them have yet they rank top! It seems a very difficult prospect to build a decent white hat link profile if everyone else is STILL capitalizing on the sort of rubbish links that Google is supposed to be getting tough on. Are online pharmacies the world that Google forgot or is this a really common issue?

Linkbuilding from sites with lower Domain Authority and Page Rank than mine?
I have decided to approach all my suppliers and ask them for a link. If their site has a lower PR/DA than mine (PR4, DA43) is is it still worth asking them from a link, given the time that needs to be invested in this type of link building?

Linkbuilding URL Problem
Hi, I work for Perfectly Engraved. A lot of our links point to http://www.perfectlyengraved.co.uk/. However that address forwards to - http://www.perfectlyengraved.co.uk/ecommerce/scripts/default.htm. Should we ensure our links point to http://www.perfectlyengraved.co.uk/ecommerce/scripts/default.htm or does it not make difference? I've put our forwarding code below. <%@ Language=VBScript %> <% Option explicit Response.Buffer = true Response.Redirect "http://www.perfectlyengraved.co.uk/ecommerce/scripts/default.htm" %> Also, would it help if we did a 301 redirect from http://perfectlyengraved.co.uk/ecommerce/scripts/default.htm to http://www.perfectlyengraved.co.uk/ecommerce/scripts/default.htm? As both addresses for every page on our site return the page with or without www Thanks
