We have new website abexpress.ae. The website is not ranking in the first page when I search with the Domain name itself. Any tips to improve the SEO for a new website?
-
We have launched a website abexpress.ae. The website is not ranking well even if we search with the Domain name.
The Domain authority of the website it 10. How to increase this?
-
Hi GR,
I am using google.ae. yea I know its just a metrics. When I search with Ab express in google.ae the abexpress.ae is not in the first page. There are many other websites with the same name nut from different countries. Yea site is online for just few months now and it doesnt have enough history too.
-
Hello there!
Happy new Year for you too.Which country are you using to search? As your TLD is .ae you should use google.ae.
Check here ( https://www.google.ae/#q=ab+express ), you do appear in the first page.On one hand, I'm not finding any major issue. It may be that your site does not have enough history (this is how long it's been online), or that you have very few backlinks (ahrefs found 1, majestic found 2 and moz found 1) or it may be that there are really few searches and you never get a click through google search.
All these, are some of the more important things that google takes into consideration to say whether your site is "relevant" for a certain search or not.On the other hand, Moz's metrics aren't absolute. So you shouldn't be driven by PA, DA or whatever. Moz tries to say how likely is a page to rank, but they are not inside google's algorithm. There are thousands of items that google considers that cant be considered by Moz or any other SERP tool.
Hope I've helped.

Hello!.
Im really sorry, cant help you here.
I've never had to verify the address with another method than receiving the card. -
Hi,
I have another question. I have created the google business account for abexpress. But in address field I cant enter the P.O box as and takes only physical address. I havent received the card yet.Is there any other way to verify the business?
-
@Gaston thanks for the quick response
-
There's no ultimate need in setting the preferred language and country. it's desirable to set those. At least so Google knows where are you Targeting
-
@Gaston,
Yes the site has only 7 pages.
1. The site was launched 3 months ago.
2. Webmaster tool account has been set up
2. We haven't configured the preferred language and country. we offer services within UAE, GCC, Levant countries and North Africa. So should we set this option?
-
Hi,
Yeap you should have a robots.txt file, even if you dont want to block any URL.Im checking with a crawler (SpiderFrog) and you have only 7 URL accessible. Are all those the URLs you want to be indexed?
http://abexpress.ae/
http://abexpress.ae/terms-conditions
http://abexpress.ae/industries
http://abexpress.ae/about
http://abexpress.ae/services
http://abexpress.ae/contact
http://abexpress.ae/faqsJust to be sure:
- how long has this site been up?
- Have you created a Search Console account for this site? Have you upload the Sitemap to that account?
- Have you configured the preferred domain? And what about the preferred language/country?
GR
-
Hi Gatson,
Should we use robots.txt file if I dont want to block any urls?
-
Hi Gaston,
THanks you so much for your response. I will look into it.
-
Hello,
Your site does appear when searching for the domain itself. Take a look at this screenshot:
https://gyazo.com/471d935ab33651527a53c3b9436b44bcRegarding the DA, remember that it is a metric from moz that analyzes the links pointing to your domain (mainly) and then it offers a number stating how likely that domain may rank.
You shouldn't focus in incrementing the DA itself. There are other issues and ideas where to spend your time and money.
One of the issues is that you don't have redirected the non-www to the www version (and there is no canonical tag). And other issue is that there is no robots.txt (I couldnt find it).Best luck.
Hope I've helped.

Horrible ranking for hundreds of content pages
We have hundreds of pages of restaurant reviews (each is 100% original content) on our site (for example, here is a list of many of the content pages: https://www.rewards21.com/articles). The PA of almost every page is 1 (ouch). Doing even the most long-tail Google search doesn't bring up one of those pages (even if I include our company name in the search string). I'm certain we have lots of room to improve SEO, but not even seeing the pages come up for even the most long-tail search has me concerned... Our site used to be on Wordpress many months ago and many of these pages ranked fine..ever since switching away from Wordpress, we've not made any SEO progress. Am wondering if something major is "broken" with our site SEO...

Alex Lace Dress in Black/Nude, Ivory/Nude, Red/Red In Page Title we use the suppliers name and product code as well as the item name ie. Jadore j8075 Alex Lace Dress Online Australia URL = alex-lace-dress/ Are we using the correct format ? What could we do to improve them?

Is it better to try and boost an old page that ranks on page #5 or create a better new page
Hello Everyone, We have been looking into our placements recently and see that one of our blog posts shows on page #5 for a popular keyword phrase with a lot of search volume. Lets say the keyword is "couples fitness ideas" We show on page 5 for a post /couples-fitness-ideas-19-tips-and-expert-advice/ We want to try and get on the first page for that phrase and wanted to know if it is better if we did one of the following: 1. Create a new page with over 100 ideas with a few more thousands of words. with a new url (thinking /couples-fitness-ideas) 2. Create a new page with a new url (thinking /couples-fitness-ideas) with the same content as the currently ranking post. We would want to do this for more freedom with layout and design of the page rather than our current blog post template. Add more content, let's say 100 more ideas. Then forward the old URL to the new one with a 301 redirect. 3. Add more content to the existing post without changing the layout and change the URL. Look forward to your thoughts

How to rank Product pages over its Resource counterpart?
So, I have a resource page coming up in the SERPs above the product page, obviously both pages are targeting a lot of the same terms... it's like one is how to use the product and the other IS the product. What's your take on getting the money page to rank instead of the resource page? The only things I can think of include making sure that (internal) anchor text hyperlinks are all powering up the product page, and possibly adding more content to the product page and it's sub-pages. Possibly even including the how to use the product info on the product page itself. Any other ideas?

301 Redirect and SEO Rankings
I recently restructured my webpage URL's (about 300 ~ 75% of my total website) to make the URL paths more SEO friendly. Within a few hours of restructuring the pages, I did a 301 redirect to my old URL's and pointed them to the new pages. I have seen ~ 50% drop in organic traffic. I started the restructuring exercise 14 days ago and finished it a few hours back. I have 3 questions: How long will it take for me to recover my old traffic. Will I recover most of it or some of it? Due to a glitch in the specified path, some old URL's were wrongly redirected (this happened with 9 pages to be exact). I will explain exactly what happened: www.redirct.com/superseonow1 ---- redirected to ---- www.redirectnow.com/seonow1 **/superseonow was 301 redirected to /seonow. After 3 days I realize that /superseonow1 was actually /supernow1. The same thing happened to 9 pages - /superseonow2, /superseonow3 ..... ** I have removed all the wrong redirects. When I tried to enter the correct (old) paths now and 301 redirect them to the new paths, the page was not found using the old paths. Should I redirect the old paths to the New ones even now? 3. Finally, in how much time after you change the page structure should you use the 301 redirect. Since I had two different teams working on this job, there could have been up to a 24 hour gap between the redirection.

Newbie question - Optimize homepage or create new page?
Hey everyone! I'm new here and wondering if anybody could help with a question. I'm trying to optimize for the keyword "meet people". I've attached a screenshot of the Moz SERP report for the top 10 results for this keyword for Google (UK). Unfortunately my domain doesn't make the top ten - we're currently raked 11th. My domain - tastebuds.fm - has a domain authority of 53 and the homepage has a page authority of 61 which is way way above the scores for the 1st placed result. What am I doing wrong? Should I focus on competing using a page that contains the keyword eg. http://tastebuds.fm/meet-people OR should I work on improving the 11th place of my homepage by tweaking the content? Bear in mind I already have an A grade for on-page optimization of the homepage for the keyword in question. If I decided to optimize a new page... how long would it take before I ranked well for the page if the only place it was linked was from the homepage? Also what should I put on this new page? Our homepage already converts well so should I duplicate it somehow? 4ENqCPz.png

No Content on home page + rankings
If a home page has no content will it hurt the sites ability to rank? The interior pages will have content but not the home page. (See attached image) My client does not want content on the home page as he feels it will take away from the look and feel he wants to achieve. This website is actually 10 sites or locations in one as we intend to market each location (a total of 10) separately. In reality the home page is a doorway page to each separate location. I'd like feedback if possible as to the necessity or not, of content on the Home Page of this or any website. Will the lack of content hurt on the Homer Page hurt with SEO? Thanks
