Bad Google Reviews - Should I Remove the Map From My Website?

I have a Google map on a website. Currently, there are only two 1-star reviews — which show next to the company name on the map. We added the map for local SEO reasons, but I’m thinking I should take it down because customer experience supersedes local SEO. Why boost search rankings if the content will drive people away from converting?
So basically, customer experience > local SEO.
Question: Do you all agree, or do any of you have any evidence that I should leave it? For example, it’s below the fold, so it isn’t the first thing they see, and we really need to boost their local SEO.

I'm with the community on this - lowering the visibility of those reviews on the website is not going to prevent potential customers from finding them on Google, so this will be an ideal opportunity to really start throwing yourself into earning some excellent Google reviews, leading to the positive sentiment outweighing the negative. I totally get that it could be embarrassing for the company right now to have those negative reviews showing up on the website, but consider:

This is temporary. You must have a plan to drown out those couple of negative reviews with a slow-but-steady acquisition of positive reviews.

Google has been very clear about wanting unmoderated reviews on websites that use review schema to markup their own reviews that they are gathering directly from consumers. In other words, in Google's eyes, your reputation should be unedited. Right now, the business has a customer service issue being reflected on Google - this is presently the reality of the business, and while it's not flattering to the business, it is authentic. So now, it's the time to make an authentic response with a) resolution of problems b) excellent owner responses and c) acquisition of improved reviews over time.
Hopefully, the company can really get on this. An estimate 92% of consumers read online reviews and it's a given that this business' potential customers are seeing those negative reviews on Google. I'd make improving this scenario priority #1, over any technical or SEO considerations.

I am with the 2 previous responses. The issue with the 2 single star reviews is not that they are visible. The issue is what led to the single star reviews and what has your client done to correct the situation? Also get more real 5 star reviews to add to the poor reviews.

I do not think to bad reviews should make or break an SEO strategy.
1. How did you respond to those reviews? you can up your customer service game by responding and rectifying the situation that caused the bad review.
2. Ask for reviews from your clients and get more good reviews than. I am sure you have good customers that would give you good reviews. This can also be a quick way to boost those conversions. Everyone gets a bad review from time to time. If you don't have good ones your not asking for them.
3. Improve your customer experience. What are in those bad reviews? is there room to improve?

I don't see this as an either or thing, if people find the website useful enough to go down to that next funnel stage, they're going to do their research and find those reviews regardless. If customer experience outweighs local SEO, there should be more effort at not having one star reviews, right? In lieu of improving custom service or whatever problems led to those reviews, they should be responded to and handled appropriately. People generally don't have a problem with bad reviews if the situation was handled well by the company. You could also work on increasing the number of reviews to over power the junk ones. Ask the client to reach out to their best customers and simply ask them to review. I've found it's very helpful when doing this to include detailed instructions to minimize confusion and make it as easy as possible for the reviewers.

Adding Multiple Country Locations for Google Business Listings
Hi Moz community, I hope everyone is well. I would like to ask for your advice on how to show a Google Business listing in both the UK and US for our brand. I understand that you can add multiple locations to your Google listing under the 'Manage Locations' tab but I wasn't quite sure how it worked in practice. I have a couple of questions below: If we have 2 registered locations/offices (one in the UK and one in the US) are we able to create 2 separate locations that will show our business listing correctly in the right-hand margin when people search for our brand in the US and UK respectively? If so, when a user finds our business listing in the US, are we able to serve them our US website version when they click the 'Website' button, as opposed to showing them our UK website? Our US website has been created as a sub-directory from our main UK site and can be seen as: www.example.com/us/ I hope someone is able to help, and thank you in advance.

Google is surfacing non-urgent care facilities for urgent care searches on Google Maps. How can I fix this?
I work for a large healthcare system in Utah. Google Maps is showing one of our non-urgent care clinics on searches for our branded urgent care locations ("InstaCare" is the branded term). From what I can tell, the only reason this is happening is because of a global footer on the clinic's website that links back to the urgent hub (see Imgur link for what I mean). Here's the clinic's site: https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/south-sandy-clinic/ Is there any way to get Google to stop doing this? Google My Business for Municipalities?
I'm working with the City of Lakewood, WA, on an image campaign that overlaps a bit with some SEO goals. If you Google "Lakewood, WA", in the knowledge panel to the right of the search results is an image of building on fire. I'm not sure where this image comes from or why it has been selected as the image to represent the City of Lakewood but its been there for a while. If this was a small business, I would simply claim their Google My Business page and feed some good images into it. Problem solved. But Google doesn't offer an option to "Claim this City". LOL. Can you create a GMB page for a municipality? Does anyone know the right thing to do here to make this picture go away and give the city more control over its own image?

How do you fix a Google My Business Location Issue if the road doesn't yet exist on Google Maps?
My core question is just: How do you fix a Google My Business Location Issue if the road doesn't yet exist on Google Maps? Do I have any other options other than to just wait on Google to catch up with reality? Here's the background: I work for a hospital. We just opened a clinic on a street that is real and has a U.S. Postal Address, but Google Maps doesn't recognize it, and redirects people to a house . This is our postal address: 8343 S 168th Ave Omaha NE 68136-1677 If a patient enters the following into google maps, 8343 S 168th Ave, the location the map autofills the wrong zip code, and sends them to a home that is on S 168th Ave. (where in theory a home would exist if it had that home number). The road does exist in that portion of town. If a patient enters 8343 S 168th Ave, Omaha NE 68136, google maps takes you to the correct location, but it automatically changes Ave to St. The verified Google My Business listing also lists it as Street, even though on the back end I've put in the word Avenue, and it shows up in the right place. If however someone just searches by name "Chalco Clinic" the right Google My Business comes up. This is the Google My Business page I'm referring to: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nebraska+Medicine+-+Chalco/@41.1754796,-96.1787153,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xf77aefb4e27f865!8m2!3d41.1754796!4d-96.1787153 And even though it says it's on a Street, on the back end of the claimed listing I've used "Avenue". I have 2 locations and 6+ Google Business pages... How can I combine the duplicates without losing maps rankings?
I have 2 locations and 6+ different Google Business pages due to a company merger and automatic page creation. Some of the GMB even pages rank in maps above the ones we use for certain terms and most bring traffic to my site, but I know the dupes are hurting our maps rankings. Is there a way I can consolidate these pages by combining them? Or am I better off just biting the bullet and deleting the pages I don't want to use?

Why would a website link disappear from a Google Place listing?
Hi, a local non-profit recently re-branded their name from MacDonald Center to Maybelle Center. When they updated their business information their website link disappeared. They've updated from within and dashboard to no avail. We've requested edits/updates via Google Map maker but it says Denied. Here's a URL for the SERP result. They are a great community organization who's about to receive some media coverage and we'd really appreciate it if users hearing about the group be able to easily access their new website. They are aware of their duplicate listings but, typical of non-profits, have limited time and funds so are prioritizing to address more urgent issues first. However, I don't believe duplicate listings would cause such an issue but please let me know if I'm wrong here

Google requires that businesses that serve there customers at their customers' locations must hide its address. However, this causes an notice in Moz Local advising that the Google listing is inconsistent. Is that something to just ignore?
I run a walking tour company that operates from a virtual office. We run tours are set locations outside the office. Because of this, Google requires that we hide our exact location. However, Moz Local is warning us that "incomplete listings can negatively impact your ability to rank well in search engine results". Most listings won't allow you to hide an exact address. Do the search engines understand this and therefore we won't get penalized? Thank you.

Combining Law websites to boost local results?
So we currently have 2 separate websites for the 2 areas of law we practice, Criminal Defense and Family. Currently our Criminal Defense website is the one affiliated with our google+ page and so it ranks well in local results, where as our Family website does not rank at all locally. Would it be best for our Family practice if we merged it with our Criminal site? We all work out of the same office and share address and phone number, so I don't believe we can associate the Family website with a google+ page, but I am wondering if each site would show up in Local results for their individual keywords if the criminal site and law site were both subdomains of a main Firm website.
