Nofollow links exchange
-
Hi guys,
I'm studying Seo for the first time and I'm really passionate about it.
Only one simply question.
Assume that I'm cited in a blog with the same PR of mine and I want to say thanks by recite the blogger in my blog.
I know that If two blog backlink each other the pr juice is equal to zero.
But If the other blogger link me with dofollow and I link him back with nofollow, does my blog take benefit from the link exchange?
Thank u very much and sorry for my medium level english

Hi Ruchy,
I am not following as to why you want to add the nodollow. If you are doing business with him and there is no money in exchange, then there is no reason to nofollow.
If there is money changing hands in any way, add a nofollow. If there is not, there is no reason to add one.
Have a great day!

Hi Kate,
Can I ask you a question regarding link exchange?
I am doing a link exchange in a legit way to increase sales for my site and my associate's site. My associate just wants a sales increase and no link juice. He has a very low DA so i want to give him a no follow link. Is it suspicious of fishy that I give a no follow link and receive a followed link in return?
Let me know, I dont want to take any changes.
Can you tell me the best way to do this link exchange?
Thanks

First, you're thinking about this all wrong. Stop thinking in terms of PR juice. PR (pagerank) hasn't been updated in a while and is a horrible metric. Also, don't think of links in relation to each other. They are independent unless you are part of a link farm. Those are identifiable, always.
If you want to say thank you, say thank you. If someone linked to you and it provided business, def say thank you. But don't think about it in terms of link equity. If they linked to you and it's bringing business, that is all that should matter. Thank in any way you deem respectful.

Subdomain links vs root domain links? Are the less valuable?
I am determining the value of links we get. Is a link on a subdomain less valuable vs one on the root domain? How less valuable would you consider a subdomain link? For example blog.site.com vs site.com/blog What other metrics would you take into consideration for the value of a subdomain link?

Total Links vs Google Webmaster Site Links
I am interested why the numbers between SEOmoz and Google are so different. In SEOmoz we only show 17,000ish links from 190ish domains. In Google, we show 200,000+ links from 370 domains. Why is there such a dramatic difference?

Link Detox and Link Removal
I have a question about which links to remove after running a link detox from Link Research Tools. First a little back story. I had had an SEO company link building for one of the websites I own. But I have recently stopped working with them. In the last month my rankings have near dropped off the charts. I have just recently gotten access to Google webmaster tools and noticed an unnatural link warning from back in March. So yesterday I ran link detox and it reported 19 toxic links, 120 suspicious links, and 24 healthy links. It's rather obvious that I should remove all of the toxic links. They all from sites that have been deindexed by google. But my question is a about the suspicious links. What should my criteria be for removing them? Am I better off removing them all and leaving my site with only 24 healthy links or should I personally comb through them and remove only the worst of the worst so that I leave my site with a few more links? I'd really like to get the site ready to resubmit to google as soon as I can. Thoughts? yyCOf.png

NoFollow links to increase TLD?
If you have a good amount of links, but your TLD is low, and you got say 100 more links from 100 seperate domains, but most were NoFollow, would that still help alot since you are increasing your overall TLD? I guess what I am asking is, should we not ignore nofollow links because they still can increase TLD? Thus, making our good dofollow links worth even more?
