Search Volume, Organic Rankings and Adwords

Hi, I hope you can help. And if this has been answered before, I apologise. Just spent two hours searching but couldnt find much at all.
So I have this website, and it ranks in the top 10 for around 150 keywords. Its fairly niche market for targeting the UK market, but subject is for a local area, its got a good optimised site, no link issues, works well, good UI etc.
Problem I have is this. It used to get a fair amount of organic traffic a few years ago to generate around 30 leads a day, and back then that was from just one keyword. Today, we may get one a lead a day from organic even though we rank for a lot more keywords and our exposure all round is good.
However, we also pay for adwords to make up for the lost leads, the same keywords we are ranking for organically! So we bid on adwords and get our 30 leads with the same keywords and monthly search volume as we have organically, yet we dont get any leads for those keywords organically. So Adwords produces leads, organic doesn't, but they are the same keywords and rank next to each other. How does that work?
So my question is, why do our organic keywords that rank just under the adwords that we bid for, with the same monthly searches, only give us 1 lead a day (when they used to give us 30) and adwords now give us 30 leads a day?

It used to get a fair amount of organic traffic a few years ago to generate around 30 leads a day, and back then that was from just one keyword.
A lot of people are seeing a strong decline of the amount of traffic that they get from the organic SERPs over the past few years.
In that time Google started adding image results and news results in informational SERPs. In the transactional SERPs they now place up to four paid ads at the top of the SERPs and often have shopping results within, above, or beside the SERPs. And in local results they now have maps and local listings.
Google is becoming a better webmaster and is trying to make more money from their SERPs. Shareholders want growth and the folks at Google know that the best way to do that is to make more money from current traffic. So they go heavier on the ads, in stronger positions and push the organic rankings down the page.
Google isn't the only ones working. Most of our competitors have become experts and writing more effective Adwords ads and more effective at converting visitors into customers. That is also taking the sales from above the organic rankings. Over that time, if a webmaster has not upped his game in earning clicks and converting visitors and becoming a much more competitive and aggressive seller then his sales have fallen dramatically.
Plenty of webmasters have worked really hard the past ten years and have not made massive big gains in their sales. That's because their competitors are spending billions, google is skimming the best traffic, and everyone on the web has become a lot smarter. So if those hard-working webmasters have held even in their revenue and profits that is the equivalent of being an awesomeasskicker of the past.

Adwords Express Placement and Explanation
I spoke with the adwords express rep about this, and he was extremely vague and unhelpful. So, I'd appreciate some assistance...even though it's a lot of questions. Whatever insights you can share to any portion of this, i would greatly appreciate. We setup an adwords express account, and we set our budget $50 over what Adwodrds Express says was our competitors average range. However, our ads only show up on the bottom right side of page 2. We are trying to figure out why that is? Are adwords express accounts only placed on the lower tier of PPC by definition? Will they always be on the bottom of a sidebar on the second page? Does it depend on how much we are willing to pay a month? So, if we double what we are willing to pay per month, will the ad move up? Also, it's not clear to me at all, how much we are being charged per click or how we are being billed. How are they determining what each click costs? Happy Friday and thanks in advance, Ruben

Does anyone else get a crazy amount of misdials to your AdWords call extension?
Not sure how many people here also do PPC, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Since we added a call extension to one of our AdWords campaigns a few months ago, we have gotten a crazy amount of misdials/wrong numbers. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Here's what happens: We choose one of the numbers we own, say 888-123-4567, and set it up so it displays ADWORDS on the phone's screen when it rings. This way, our customer service and sales reps will know when they are taking an AdWords call. We type that number into the call extension settings. AdWords then assigns a different number to us, which will appear on our ads and forward to our number. Say it's 888-234-5678. Then for months, every "ADWORDS" call we get is someone trying to reach a different company at 888-234-5679 or 888-235-5678. In other words, the number they're trying to dial is one digit off from the number AdWords assigned to us. When we first reported this to AdWords before Christmas, they simply assigned us a new number. It did not help. Now we just get misdials for different companies. So are we alone in this wrong-number phenomenon?

Best keyword traffic analysis tool for long tail search terms?
Please bare with me, this might turn into a bit of a waffle, but I'll get to my question... I promise! I've just been looking at our CPC traffic for April and 2 search terms jumped out at me. I recognised them from previous keyword research because they are search terms that I expected to be high traffic (from past experience), but Google Adwords keyword tools showed them to have no potential traffic, and next to no potential traffic (literally 0 local searches and 12 local searches per month). Last month search term A had 46 visits, with 19:25 average time on site and 8.70% bounce rate and search term B had 10 visits with 14:47 average time on site and 0% bounce rate. For very boring reasons we are not currently able to measure conversions on these terms since (they are related to consumer finance and when a customer applies for finance it is all done on our finance providers website) but despite the low volume, these are pretty good figures for on site behaviour and so it got me thinking... Is there a more accurate tool to estimate traffic volume that we should be using rather than the Adwords tools? I appreciate that the estimates are probably made based on historic search behaviour and April's traffic could just be a one off, but these particular terms used to be insanely popular 4-5 years ago when I worked at a competing company.

Is a $100 adwords credit appropriate here
Hello, A long time ago we set up an Adwords campaign for our company on my sister's personal Adwords account. My sister would like us to set up a new account under a business email for the new Adwords keyword research we want to do. Is using a $100 coupon appropriate for our new account? I honestly don't want to use it if it's against Google's policy. And is there anything else I need to keep in mind as far as fees or requirements in setting up a new account and/or using the coupon? Unexpected % of new visits from search traffic.
Hello Three days ago launched an AdWords campaign (text ad) designed to bring people to my site (www.quipeutlefaire.com). I've been tracking the visits using Google Analytics and I find that 67% of Paid Traffic visits are new visitors (see attached image). I find this very weird, I was expecting that people who come to my site through adwords to be completely new visitors (100% instead of 67%) . What's happening? are people using my ads as a sort of "bookmark" to come back to the site? Thank you for your help gsqMj.jpg
