Keyword Research tips at State level
-
Google Adwords Keyword tool Local Monthly searches covers all US and it is misleading for local/regional companies. is there any tool and method you could recommend to find out State Level (for example Virginia) local monthly search volume for Keyword research. I think the methods of Keyword Research for National and Local (state level) level should be different. what do you think?

my question was to find out "state level monthly search amount". how do you match state and find state level monthly search amount using Adwords Keyword Tool? thanks.

Run adwords on the keyword, location, matchtype that you are interested in. That will give you real data on the search volume and you can find out if the traffic converts. Bid high enough to make the first page.

A Solution to Keywords Being Grouped in Google Keyword Planner
Hi guys, I am trying to get search traffic for a list of keywords which I put together a few years ago for one of my clients, this was before Google made changes to their Keyword Planner. When I am adding the list into Google Keyword Planner it is "grouping" a number of the keywords/phrases together, and therefore removing 13 of the keywords from the original list of 59 keywords. Is there a way around this so I can get search volume for the original list, and not the cut down one? I am specifically using Google Keyword Planner as I want to get search volume for a number of specific locations in the UK. Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Newbie question about keyword difficulty tool
Hi guys, It's my first day here ate seomoz and I got intrigued about the results from the keyword difficulty tool. Even though I do understand the results, I noticed the ranking analysis table has some highlighted cells and some of them have a dark checkmark sign inside. What exactly do they mean? I couldn't find it anywhere. Cheers from Brazil. i0tzl.png
