No index and Crawl Budget
-
Hello,
If we noindex pages, will it improve crawl budget ?
For example pages like these -
https://x-z.com/2012/10/
https://x-y.com/2012/06/
https://x-y.com/2013/03/
https://x-y.com/2019/10/
https://x-y.com/2019/08/Should we delete/redirect such pages ?
Thanks

Hi Nigel,
We don;t have a large site, so this won't be a problem as you pointed out.
However, we don't have relevant content as of now. That's why i asked about deleting such type of pages.
Thanks

Hi John
If the pages are old and have had no useful visits then it would make sense to forward them to more relevant content. This would be standard SEO practice anyway. However, unless you have 1000's of pages then crawling and indexing your site really isn't a problem. If you had a very large site with frequently updated pages then it could be a problem. You can change the crawl rate but if it is 'calculated as optimal' then you needn't bother worrying. read more here...

Increase in Crawl Errors
I had a problem with a lot of crawl errors (on Google Search Console) a while back, due to the removal of a shopping cart. I thought I'd dealt with this & Google seemed to agree (see attached pic), but now they're all back with a vengeance! The crawl errors are all the old shop pages that I thought I'd made clear weren't there anymore. The sitemaps (using Yoast on Wordpress to generate these) all updated 16 Aug but the increase didn't happen till 18-20. How do I make it clear to Google that these pages are gone forever? Issues with getting a web page indexed
Hello friends, I am finding it difficult to get the following page indexed on search: http://www.niyati.sg/mobile-app-cost.htm It was uploaded over two weeks back. For indexing and trouble shooting, we have already done the following activities: The page is hyperlinked from the site's inner pages and few external websites and Google+ Submitted to Google (through the Submit URL option) Used the 'Fetch and Render' and 'Submit to index' options on Search Console (WMT) Added the URL on both HTML and XML Sitemaps Checked for any crawl errors or Google penalty (page and site level) on Search Console Checked Meta tags, Robots.txt and .htaccess files for any blocking Any idea what may have gone wrong? Thanks in advance!

How to know which pages are indexed by Google?
So apparently we have some sites that are just duplicates of our original main site but aiming at different markets/cities. They have completely different urls but are the same content as our main site with different market/city changed. How do I know for sure which ones are indexed. I enter the url into Google and its not there. Even if I put in " around " it. Is there another way to query google for my site? Is there a website that will tell you which ones are indexed? This is probably a dumb question.

Is this 404 page indexed?
I have a URL that when searched for shows up in the Google index as the first result but does not have any title or description attached to it. When you click on the link it goes to a 404 page. Is it simply that Google is removing it from the index and is in some sort of transitional phase or could there be another reason.

Blocking Google from Crawling Parameters
Hi guys: What is the best way to keep Google from crawling certain urls with parameters? I used the setting in Webmaster Tools, but that doesn't seem to be helping at all. Can I use robots.txt or some other method? Thanks! What tool do you use to check for URLs not indexed?
What is your favorite tool for getting a report of URLs that are not cached/indexed in Google & Bing for an entire site? Basically I want a list of URLs not cached in Google and a seperate list for Bing. Thanks, Mark
