I need recommendation on an email system for customer service center.
-
My client has way too many emails coming into his inbox and it's preventing him from closing orders. He wants to be able to split the email load among everyone in sales so he isn't burdened with answering all the emails while his staff sit on their asses. Can anyone recommend a system where emails sent to info@example.com are answered like a customer service system?
-
A different approach would be to just create the info@example.com account like you would another email account, and give everyone in sales the password, and them them all access via webmail. That should be fairly easy with most setups, and might at least be an intermediate step while you evaluate a better system.

We are in the process of tackling this type of issue as well. While we have not yet implemented it (so I can't endorse it), so far the standout appears to be assistly (www.assistly.com). They also have a help center which is a sort of Q&A that you can build up and users can help themselves through.

Here is an alternative idea...
Keep track of what email questions and concerns you have coming in and develop a page that has a drill down menu for answering them. Call that the "contact us" page... try to have questions answered by self service and those that can't be answered by self service should go to a staff member. Focus first on reducing email before sharing it.
Also, maybe one of the staff members is really good at email, working with customers and likes doing that job. Instead of offloading to everyone (you know some people will not like that job) find out first if someone you know will be good wants to do that job.

I need a new book
I need some sort of awesome marketing related book. It could be SEO/SEM related, it'd be nice if it focused on content creation, or it could just be broad and business-y. Wil Reynolds got me thinking I'm not reading enough, and I wasn't lucky enough to grab one of his books off him at MozCon. So now I need some suggestions. It's just too overwhelming searching through these broad keywords for the right book. So if anyone knows of any that might fit, let me know! Thanks Moz Community. You guys rock.

Email Marketing Resources?
Hi All, I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to email marketing and know that it isn't as simple as firing off an email and hoping for the best. Realistically it involves tracking responses, clicks and overall the conversion of what you are trying to achieve. My job involves email marketing on a monthly basis and although I'm capable of sending emails I want to be maximize the results and perfect them. I'm sure that those reading this agree and have looked into perfecting their email marketing campaigns over the years. Can those with experience point me in the right direction with this?. I'm open to all resources both free and paid including videos, blogs and other various resources. If you can recommend a book of some sort that would also be appreciated. Personal experience and advice would also be fantastic. As mentioned, I'm capable of actually sending emails and we use 'dotmailer' as it features analytics. I need to know how I can better my skills and ultimately increase the success of email campaigns. Kind Regards, Luke Hutchinson.

Contact Form System Question
Hi, Our form system needs a major overhaul, but very short on time and resources... Can anyone suggest or know of a contact system prebuilt that can be integrated into HTML that has send, tracking and reporting abilities? One of the main reasons for this is we are moving away from Tomcat, and the form system we currently have utilizes servlets.... I have not been able to find much on this subject, so not even sure if there is such a thing? Thanks

Website Development Company Needed
Hey everyone, I am doing some consulting work for a travel company. They are redesigning their web site from scratch. The web site is highly database driven. I am looking to hire a company that has a very good combination of skills in programming(.NET or C+), website design, and SEO. In looking for a company to work with on this, a lot of companies claim they know SEO and web site design, but it is not as easy to find a company that is also highly proficient in programming. If any of you know of a great website directory for this, or even a company or two you recommend, I would greatly appreciate any of your advice. Thanks! Jeff Ferraro
