New Links added
-
I have added a number of quality inbound links to my site. How long does it take to see the effects of these links into my seomoz statistics?
-
To clarify, if you indeed added "quality links" meaning the pages you obtained links from have a high PA/PR, then your search results can improve in less then a day. Google has the resources to crawl the web much faster then anyone who offers SEO tools.
The time it would take to see the results in your SEO tools would still be as described with the earlier replies.

Thanks to both of you... you are both correct. I'm new to this and so my question was a bit generic. I'm anxious to begin to see the effect of the tweaking I'm doing and I understand now that it will be a long process that requires patience!

Very good point Shelly! I just realized he asked about "the effect of the links" and not the links themselves. Accordingly, I like your answer better then mine

If it's seeing the actual banklinks that molachef is after and not a ranking change, then yep, very true.
-
I agree with most of what you shared Shelly.
SEOMoz does a ranking check every Monday, so on the next update you may start to see the results.
I believe the weekly ranking update wont assist molachef in seeing his site's backlinks appear. He would need to wait for the next Linkscape update which is scheduled for Sept 20th, or the following update which has not been scheduled yet.

Google can pick up on links pretty quickly now days and you might even see some changes within a day. If you add a lot of good links at the same time, your site might get thrown into the limelight for a bit (or downgraded if google doesn't like the links), but if you don't keep up your seo it could loose momentum and fall back down.
You should probably add links evenly over time, not a load in one go as this could be seen as a link building scheme.
SEOMoz does a ranking check every Monday, so on the next update you may start to see the results.

Up to 70 days depending on numerous factors which are outside of anyone's control.

There's no comments etc. I don't understand this and if anyone can shed a light??

Linking Between Sites
Hi everyone, Hope you are all doing well. If a company owns several different websites that are supposed to be different brands but are part of the same niche/sector is it OK to link between them? Or would this be seen as violation? Thanks

Link text
Can anyone give me any advise regarding anchor text in back links on external sites. I have about 8 bloggers reviewing our products on their sites. When they link to our site, they either use the words of our company name or something like “click here” as the words in the link. There are a few key words that we are wanting to improve for so should those words be made as the live link on their site?

Brand new website, should I nofollow almost all internal links?
Hi, As I am creating a completely new website for my employer (she will have zero incoming links, even the URL will be different), would it be advantageous to allow follows to the other internal pages from the home page, but disallow follows on all other internal links on each subsequent page? So, for example each page will have this many internal links: Home page: 5 (all 5 service pages) Recruiting: 1 (home link) Services: 1 (home link) Talent Assessment: 1 (home link) etc. Does this make sense to bolster the home page until we can get some links coming in?

How many nofollow links should we build to have a natural link profile
Hi guys, As with many link builders we have been building lots of dofollow links for our site, so many that mainly our incoming links are dofollow. Some pages have 99.5% dofollow external links which I know is not very natural. In your experience in terms of percentage how much should you have in terms of nofollow external links in your link profile. I noticed SEOMoz has about 12-13% nofollow external links, shall I go with this figure? Thanks guys. David

What are the new ways of Link Building which will get quality links?
Hi We are doing following kinds of Link Building: 1. Article marketing 2. Directory Submission 3. Guest Blogging 4. Press Release submission 5. Infographics (Viral Marketing) I know blog commenting and links from discussion forums are considered as greyhat / blackhat by google. So I want suggestions on some other ethical(Whitehat SEO) ways of Link Building to get quality Links. Also suggest me some Free article submission sites which give " dofollow-links" Thank You

Text Link Ads - have you worked with them?
I work with a large group of community sites and we were approached by a company called Text Link Ads to purchase links on our sites for SEO purposes. This means we can't add "nofollow" and the resulting page is crawl-able. This goes directly against Google's policy but I think it would be tough to find out exactly what we're doing. It could be a great revenue source and this company has many, many sites they work with. That said, this sounds like what you say right before something bad happens. So, two part question: Has anyone worked with this company before? And should these links be avoided or are they not so bad? Thanks in advance!
