Adding External Blog Feed
-
I have a client who's a member of the Loopnet.com community. They have a place on their profile to add an external blog feed. Our question is does adding the RSS feed from an external blog have any SEO value or do we run into issues with duplicate content with the same blog posts published on two different websites?
-
I took a look at the Loopnet.com community profile pages, and more specifically, at their blog pages. It looks as if it just pulls in the title and a a short excerpt from the feed and links out to the original site page where the content originated. So to answer your questions, no you should have no problems with duplicate content. Also, it may be helpful for your client's site because the links appear to not be nofollow and should pass link juice.

Hello Moz Team, hope everyone is doing well, I have question regarding mine blog post recently that I published: https://mobilemall.pk/blog/definition-of-cuboid-surface-area-volume-basic-properties/ My target keywords in this post are Cuboid Definition, Cuboid Surface Area, Cuboid Volume. I have considered and applied every good SEO practice, like H Tags, gave links to authority sites, featured image, other images, etc but my post is still not appearing in top 3, 5 or even 10 I have covered each and every aspect of the topic, Can anyone let me know what's the reason and any suggestion for me. Thanks!

Simple Blog Content Question
Which is better? To write my own blog post or, (with permission) use other high DA content on my blog. I'll probably do both, but I'm very curious as to what the search engines prefer or which is better for seo. Thanks in advance!

Should my client copy and paste his blog posts onto other professional sites?
I have a client who is an Attorney and participates in a couple of different Q and A legal sites. One of these legal sites is recommending to my client that he copy and paste his blog posts onto his profile page on the Q and A site. I understand my client wanting to copy and paste his blog posts onto these sites, as it will not only get his content in front of a larger audience, but also lend credibility. However, I've always heard that that could cause some duplicate content problems. Will my client's blog likely get penalized by google for copying and pasting his blog posts onto other relevant sites?

Duplicate Content From Huffington Post Blog
A client who writes blog posts for Huffington Post also wants an identical version of the blog posted to his personal site. Do you think there could be a problem of being punished for duplicate content? Would a better SEO practice be to have the client do an on-site blog just linking to the Huffington Post blog and providing information about it?

Duplicate Page Content WordPress blog with categories?
Just got a crawl report back from SEOmoz and it gives me lots of errors for "duplicate page content". Upon investigating, I notice this is because my WP blog is setup into categories so the home page is almost identical to one of the category pages. None of my actually posts are the same but the category pages have some overlap since the same post could show up in two or more categories. Is this a problem or can I just ignore this error? Any thing I should be doing differently? Thanks!

On-Site Blog or Blog Service for Best SEO Results
I had a blog associated with my site, then I had to merge two Google accounts and to make a long story short, my old Blogger page won't transfer to the new account. So, I'm starting fresh. My Question: Would I benefit most from an on-site subdomain blog, adding content to my site on a weekly/monthly basis, or an off-site blog such as Blogger, linking back to pages and resources on my site? Then, any other juicy tips would be great. Honestly, I won't expect a large subscription base. There will be a natural draw for some trade associates, and I'll be linking and promoting them as well. Thanks for any input. I'm new to the community, and SEO, but really impressed with this community.
