Get iTunes SERP
-
Hi,
I would really like to understnad how iTunes (apple) get those great serp in google (see attached image).
In addition to the image (which is the main thing I would love to get) they have price, rating and votes numbers.
Currently I know about the schema.org tags that can help implement that but I couldn't find this in the source code of the page.
Thanx

Thanx,
I hoped that someone will help me understand why they ge those cool SERP - but I guess you might be right regarding the SIZE of iTunes and the Google - Apple relationship.
I'm working with Schema.org since it looks like the best implementation for semantic web currently.

I am pretty sure that SuperlativB means:
We have used it for our review section, and have seen a slight increase in clicks from Google, so I can only recommend the use of it.

Shema.org is great for rich serps. But I have seen this before even for my own site without using shema.org.
I guess its relevance and how your site is built. For instanse if your site (lets say yoursite.com/music) is a feed witch displays new elements all the time its not unusual to se results with some text and then +15 elements showing titles and ratings if that is a part of your content. Remember shema.org is pretty fresh and we have seen rish serps before that
Itunes is a BIG brand so for google to manually build this is a great reward for googlers.
So basicly my answear is build your site so that its easy for google to crawl AND include shema.org to be on the safe side and get it as you want it.

Can a page that's 301 redirected get indexed / show in search results?
Hey folks, have searched around and haven't been able to find an answer to this question. I've got a client who has very different search results when including his middle initial. His bio page on his company's website has the slug /people/john-smith; I'm wondering if we set up a duplicate bio page with his middle initial (e.g. /people/john-b-smith) and then 301 redirect it to the existent bio page, whether the latter page would get indexed by google and show in search results for queries that use the middle initial (e.g. "john b smith"). I've already got the metadata based on the middle initial version but I know the slug is a ranking signal and since it's a direct match to one of his higher volume branded queries I thought it might help to get his bio page ranking more highly. Would that work or does the 301'd page effectively cease to exist in Google's eyes?

My Website's Home Page is Missing on Google SERP
Hi All, I have a WordPress website which has about 10-12 pages in total. When I search for the brand name on Google Search, the home page URL isn't appearing on the result pages while the rest of the pages are appearing. There're no issues with the canonicalization or meta titles/descriptions as such. What could possibly the reason behind this aberration? Looking forward to your advice! Cheers

How can I get a photo album indexed by Google?
We have a lot of photos on our website. Unfortunately most of them don't seem to be indexed by Google. We run a party website. One of the things we do, is take pictures at events and put them on the site. An event page with a photo album, can have anywhere between 100 and 750 photo's. For each foto's there is a thumbnail on the page. The thumbnails are lazy loaded by showing a placeholder and loading the picture right before it comes onscreen. There is no pagination of infinite scrolling. Thumbnails don't have an alt text. Each thumbnail links to a picture page. This page only shows the base HTML structure (menu, etc), the image and a close button. The image has a src attribute with full size image, a srcset with several sizes for responsive design and an alt text. There is no real textual content on an image page. (Note that when a user clicks on the thumbnail, the large image is loaded using JavaScript and we mimic the page change. I think it doesn't matter, but am unsure.) I'd like that full size images should be indexed by Google and found with Google image search. Thumbnails should not be indexed (or ignored). Unfortunately most pictures aren't found or their thumbnail is shown. Moz is giving telling me that all the picture pages are duplicate content (19,521 issues), as they are all the same with the exception of the image. The page title isn't the same but similar for all images of an album. Example: On the "A day at the park" event page, we have 136 pictures. A site search on "a day at the park" foto, only reveals two photo's of the albums. 3QolbbI.png QTQVxqY.jpg mwEG90S.jpg

How do I get out of google bomb?
Hi all, I have a website named bijouxroom.com; and I was in the 7th page for the search term takı in google; and 2nd page for online takı. Now, I see that in one day my results seem to be on the 13th and 10th page in google respectively. I made too much anchor text for takı and online takı. What shall I do to gain my positions back? Thanks in advance. Regards,

Local listings squeeze out my SERP :-(
Buonjourno from 9 degrees C partly cloudy wetherby UK 🙂 Ive noticed website www.davidclick.com optimised for "York wedding photographer" has been squeezed off page 1 by local listings as illustrated here:http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/squeezed-out-by-local-listings_zpsd506cd71.jpg But i do have a local listing and as good as any of the others that have squeezed the site out. So my question is please: "Why has davidclick.com been pushed out of page 1 by a raft of local listings despite this site having a reasonably well optimised local site"? Any insights welcome:)
