Multipul Analytics codes usage
-
I need to launch 13 local websites and need to have two analytics codes on each site, one is unique for each site and the other is the same across all sites. any advice on how this is best done?
-
For one of the sites I work on, I successfully track across multiple subdomains, and the site as a whole using one tracking code. You can create multiple profiles, and then create a filter on each profile to include only URLs of a certain pattern.

Hi Stephen, it depends on how you need to use it.
With my situation you can have two sets and its ok as long as you have them in the correct positions as described above
-
Not sure if I understand - is the recommendation to have two sets of GA code on the same page? If so, that is expressly discouraged by Google

Thomas has answered this question. Create one account in Google Analytics for local.imsm.com. Copy and paste that code right before the tag so that it appears on every page.
Then create a profile for each subdirectory (/denver, /bristol, etc.) Copy and paste that code right before the tag in the header of that particular site. Then you should collect both sets of data just fine.

Hi Daniel
Yes we are using Google Analytics, the 13 sites are all on the same domain using wordpress mu. i.e local.imsm.com/london/ local.imsm.com/denver/ local.imsm.com/bristol/
the sites are supported by google adwords and we need to be able to report on each site and as a whole hence the two tracking codes

You can add as many analytic codes as you like. Google allows you to add unique codes for sets as well. So you could tell google they are all the same site and then add unique codes for each site under the same account.
Side note, if the page does not fully load you may have varying numbers based on where you place the analytic code. So potentially, the top code will show more results then the bottom code. Not likely, but just a FYI.

Are you using Google Analytics? Are these 13 sites all sub domains of the same domain or 13 unique domains?

How accurate is Google analytics at measuring traffic? (Free version)
Hi Guys. When we compare our actual sales to Google analytics conversions it can be way out. Sometimes as much as 50%. Is this the same for the data on traffic? And if so, does the data tend to be out by a similar amount over time? i.e) If we compare this year and last year it give us a good indicator of differences in traffic volume? (albeit not 100% accurate?) Thanks. Isaac.

Google Analytics Goal Tracking Not Working
I am trying to install goal tracking for a client to measure leads from SEO, and I'm running into problems with the Google Analytics goal tracking not working. The only thing that I can think of that is preventing goal tracking from working is that the URL confirming page request URI looks like "contact/#contact-form-4475" and perhaps the hashtag is causing problems. I wanted to ask the community if any of you have run into basic conversion tracking problems like this, where you need to track form fills on a website via a confirmation URL/destination URL goal, and what you did to solve it? I appreciate any input on how to get data on conversions either by fixing the goal in GA or using a different tracking tool. Thanks!

How to not track mobile redirects in Google Analytics
If a user is on a mobile device and comes to our home page, http://www.darden.virginia.edu/web/Home/ they are redirected to http://m.darden.virginia.edu/web/Home/. We want a way to remove all the redirects from our Google analytics reports. More specifically we do not want to include the the page view of http://www.darden.virginia.edu/web/Home/ in our page view count when the user is on a mobile device. How do we do that?

Exporting Keywords in Google Analytics
In the old Google Analytics, I would simply add &limit=30000 in the URL. Does anyone know how to export all keywords from the new Google Analytics?
