How do I edit our twitter name in the social account?
-
Our twitter username was recently changed. How do I edit this? I see options to add comparison accounts and remove the name, but I don't want to lose the data.
-
It would affect tracking.Just add the new name and then take the old one once tracking is in place for the new username.
-
From what I can tell inside the interface it looks like you can't. As you said, it looks you can only Remove and then Add the new name. I think Vahe is right in this case.
-
Hi Guys, sorry I don't think I explained properly. I need to change the name in SEOmoz's social tracking. It's still showing our previous username. I'm not sure this is affecting its tracking or not...
-
In addition to what Devin said you wouldn't see comparison accounts. So before you do change the name, save any data you are keen on keeping and then change it over. However you wouldn't see any difference in data when you do changeover.
-
Log into the Twitter account.
Click on the little arrow beside your profile picture & name in the very top right corner.
This will give you a dropdown menu; click settings.
Make any changes you like and click 'save' at the bottom of the page

[Moz Help] Re: Trying to add a valid URL into MOZ account
See below and pls let us know what we have to do solve this : | | Joel Day (Moz Help) Mar 07 05:03 PM Hey Tracy, It looks like there's a redirect loop on your site. greatwesternflooring.com redirects to www.greatwesternflooring.com/ which in turn 302 redirects back into itself. You'll likely need to fix the redirect before you can continue configuring the campaign. 🙂 Thanks!

Since July 1, we've had a HUGE jump in errors on our weekly crawl. We don't think anything has changed on our website. Has MOZ changed something that would account for a large leap in duplicate content and duplicate title errors?
Our error report went from 1,900 to 18,000 in one swoop, starting right around the first of July. The errors are duplicate content and duplicate title, as if it does not see our 301 redirects. Any insights?

So I created a Twitter feed for SEOmoz Q&A posts
I was looking for a way to subscribe to the SEOmoz Q&A posts so I could keep an eye on any new questions that I felt I could provide adequate answers to, but apparently there is no RSS feed available. So I made my own Twitter account to automatically post the new questions and felt like sharing it here in case anyone else would be interested in following - http://twitter.com/SEOQA. Additional info - 1. It only updates once an hour since I didn't want to constantly hammer the SEOmoz servers every minute checking for new questions. Which means the Twitter account will post how ever many questions there are once every hour, so sometimes it can get a little annoying seeing your feed bombarded with 6 tweets in a row from the same account. 2. Some question titles contain more characters than Twitter allows in addition to the URL, so some of them get cut off. Not sure how to fix that but it rarely happens so I don't tend to mind it. 3. It simply posts any new questions asked in any category since I'm not sure of a way to choose a certain category. It would be awesome if SEOmoz provided RSS feeds/Twitter accounts to follow for a particular category. 😉 4. I'm not affiliated with SEOmoz (other than being a PRO member) and I'm not making any money off this so I hope it's okay that I set this up! Let me know if anybody has any comments or questions or suggestions for how to make it better.

How is a site really ranking when taking into account Google places?
When I do a rankings search for one of my sites on Google and it appears high in Google places, SEO Moz tracks this as its ranking - but is this its organic ranking? My clients are wondering if things have changed and so am I? Does ranking in the Google places/map appearing on front page of google count as your ranking for that keyword? Client keeps ignoring the Google places ranking and goes looking for a placement farther down... Please explain this probably simple question to me... and if you have official Google references for this, please include them. I appreciate it a lot... be blessed ben

OSE Social Signals Affect PA/DA?
I've looked through the Open Site Explorer documentation and can't find the answer so am posting here... I noticed a web page I work on showing a PA 30 but OSE is showing 0 links from 0 root domains. It is a page that has no internal links to it and no external links to it (that I know of) but has stumbles, tweets, and Diggs. Are these social factors the reason it has a PA of more than 0 or 1? If so, is there a link to documentation that shows how OSE handles social signals? Thanks, Evan

The "Social Media Monitoring" tool in research tools
I used this tool once and noticed it provided nice links to where listed keywords were posted in articles, forums, blogs, etc..., since that time @3 weeks ago... it lists an "error" to links and/or doesn't provide them in a linkable list below to access. Is this tool being worked on or will it be available in the future? Thank you.
