Hi there
I was wondering if is any profit from an aged domain. Can anyone advice how to take out the most of seo benefits? White hat only techniques.
Thanks in advance

Thanks James! I see that the only reliable source of info about seo is seomoz! Haha I am wondering what they are doing now all this spam guys when their tactics are not working anymore! Thanks a lot guys

Yes it does help but its worth noting that Google is giving less and less weight to the age of the domain, just like they are doing to keyword domains as well, since they realize its something that can be gamed rather easily.

Well to be honest aged domains can show more trust with search engines, but you really need to thing more about the overall quality of a site and the links which are coming in and also the social elements to the site.
Look at a site like Mashable - 2005 age (huge links, social, content ect)
Look at older sites made 1997 from example, less links, less social, less content - Mashable will out rank them.
I think with Age of sites it really works on a case by case example and many other factors also come into play,
Sure if you have a very new site i.e 3 months old v.s a 10 year old domain I will pick the 10 year old domain.
Another important factor is (Indexed age of the domain vs non indexed age of a domain) indexed domains are far better than domains which have never been indexed just registered on a specific date.
I hope this helps.

My url disappeared from Google but Search Console shows indexed. This url has been indexed for more than a year. Please help!
Super weird problem that I can't solve for last 5 hours. One of my urls: https://www.dcacar.com/lax-car-service.html Has been indexed for more than a year and also has an AMP version, few hours ago I realized that it had disappeared from serps. We were ranking on page 1 for several key terms. When I perform a search "site:dcacar.com " the url is no where to be found on all 5 pages. But when I check my Google Console it shows as indexed I requested to index again but nothing changed. All other 50 or so urls are not effected at all, this is the only url that has gone missing can someone solve this mystery for me please. Thanks a lot in advance.

RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]</ifmodule> END WordPress In addition, i have seen that they have a plugin called SSL insecure content fixer installed. It is showing this under its status: Array ( [HTTPS] => on [PHPHANDLER] => /usr/local/php70/bin/php [HTTP_X_REAL_IP] => 109.158.20.158 [HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO] => https ) I think possibly this might have something to do with the issue, any thoughts are appreciated Thanks0 -
Branding and Page Titles - Please Help
Hello, I have a question about page titles. How important is branding here? I'm not referring to the company name, but rather the terminology that's used as "branding language" for a company. For example, let's say that the it would be a good idea to target the keyword "Restaurant Coupons" based on search volume and competition. However, our branding adheres to the language "Dining Offers". Is it considered a bad idea to use "Restaurant Coupons" in the page title? Or is that considered inconsistent branding? Basically, I'm just trying to figure out the correct balance between the SEO value of words and adhering to a company's branding. Any help is appreciated! Thanks,

Find the Needle UK Link Quality Advice
Moz, We are a UK manufacturer and we historically have a link from the site http://www.findtheneedle.co.uk/ which is sort of a UK manufacturer database/directory I understand directory type links are not what we need nowadays in SEO but i feel with this one being quite well targeted towards UK manufacturing businesses it may be worth keeping the link, From my research we receive little quality referral traffic from this site, Moz OSE doesn't seem to be able to see the link at all, Majestic Says: <colgroup><col width="115"> <col width="122"></colgroup>

Please help :) Troubles getting 3 types of content de-indexed
Hi there,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Ltsmz
I know that it takes time and I have already submitted a URL removal request 3-4 months ago.
But I would really appreciate some kind advice on this topic. Thank you in advance to everyone who contributes! 1) De-indexing archives Google had indexed all my:
/tag/
/authorname/
archives. I have set them as no-index a few months ago but they still appear in search engine.
Is there anything I can do to speed up this de-indexing? 2) De-index /plugins/ folder in wordpress site They have also indexed all my /plugins/ folder. So I have added a disallow /plugin/ in my robots.txt 3-4 months ago, but /plugins/ still appear in search engine. What can I do to get the /plugins/ folder de-indexed?
Is my disallow /plugins/ in robots.txt making it worse because google has already indexed it and not it can't access the folder? How do you solve this? 3) De-index a subdomain I had created a subdomain containing adult content, and have it completely deleted it from my cpanel 3months ago, but it still appears in search engines. Anything else I can do to get it de-indexed? Thank you in advance for your help!0 -

Getting Started with Link-Building (Advice, Please)
Hi forum, my company has done almost ZERO link building, and most of the traffic we receive to our site is for our branded search terms (people searching for our company name). Our content and on-page SEO is pretty solid, but how would you suggest getting started in link building? We've dabbled in comment marketing, but almost all of these were unfollowed links. We already do PR and submit it to prweb.com. We have submitted to quite a few online directories and are currently working our way through relevant directories provided by SEOMoz. We do not want to pay for links, and we want to do all of this in house. We are committed to putting the time in to get high quality links by hand. Does anyone have any advice? A "Beginner's Guide to Link-Building" would be excellent. The specific site we are working on is http://www.consumerbase.com/index.html if that is of any use. Thanks!
