Google's New Privacy Policy and Analytics
-
Does anybody know if Google's new privacy policy allows it to use data gathered by Analytics to be used as a ranking factor in the SERPs?

According to the GA privacy statement (first link) and, more specifically, their data sharing policy (2nd link), Google would be in direct violation of their own policies if they used your data to improve their search product, provided you have the "Do Not Share my Google Analytics Data" option set.
Do not share my Google Analytics data: This option excludes data from being included in any automated processes that aren’t specifically related to operating and improving Google Analytics or protecting the security and integrity of the data.
Google employees have said before that their is absolutely no link between this data and their search algorithm, though "saying" that isn't as iron clad as the above sharing setting.
Of course, Google's recently found a few ways to violate privacy, so anything can happen. Their publicly available privacy policy is the best we can do!

I'm not so convinced that they wouldn't at least like to. There are lots of different factors that I am sure they use already where sometimes the effect may be neutral on some non applicable sites and used for others where possible.
For now I'm probably just paranoid but I would never rule it out. I was really just wondering if the new privacy policy at least allows Google to do this theoretically.

That would not make any sense as there are millions of sites out there that do not use Google Analytics. Having a Google Analytics account does not have any impact whatsoever on ranking. My take on the privacy policy is that they will use the data to better their algorithm as a whole but should not affect individual accounts at all.

Google Analytics / Facebook UTM
Hello, I have a quick question. I am setting up conversion tracking for my Facebook ads, so I am giving each ad set a tracking URL (UTM) in order to see which ads are converting etc. Is it possible to see on analytics how much I am spending on these ads or a cost per conversion? Or does the tracking merely track general analytics data such as bounce rate, exit rate, revenue generated etc? Kind Regards, James

Google analytics suddenly stopped tracking all my landing pages
Hey guys. I love the new update of GA. Looks so clean. So, of course, I was excited to see how my landing pages were doing. I went to behavior, all content, all pages. And I noticed it's only showing me 19 pages out of the 93 I have indexed. And none of the top ones at all! Can't find them anywhere in GA! Anyone seen this before? Thank you so much

Google Analytics - Adding a sub-domain
Hi I have a google analytics query.
Reporting & Analytics | | Niki_1
I have a main site with a google analytics tag and I have 2 forms that sit on a subdomain with a different GA code. As I would like to measure end to end tracking, I would like the same GA code on the subdomain. What is the best way for me to implement this? Would I need to make some changes to the GA code that sits on the main site or can I add the the GA code from the main site onto the subdomain? Thanks0 -

Linking Multiple Niche Site In Same Google Analytics Account
Hi, I am providing SEO for Local business. Is it advisable to separate out the Google Analytics into different Google account or is it ok to remain it this way? Some of the client might be in the same niche, and might be competing with the same keywords as well. What I was worried is, Google might see these sites as same owner and only rank for 1 of the site. I was thinking to get the owners to register for their own Google Analytics and share the access to me.
