Domain redirect seo
-
Hello,
my domain www.pacomarca.com and when i start the new campaing i get this pronblem:
We have detected that the domain www.pacomarca.com and the domain pacomarca.com both respond to web requests and do not redirect. Having two "twin" domains that both resolve forces them to battle for SERP positions, making your SEO efforts less effective. We suggest redirecting one, then entering the other here.
my domain is in networksolutions.com.
how can i resolve it?
many thanks
Gonzalo

Hi Gonzalo, I had just analyze your website both www & non www. I had come up with following perspectives that are shown below:
URL: http://www.pacomarca.com/
PR: 4
Alexa Rank:18752550
Backlinks: 32
&
PR: 4
Alexa Rank:18767880
Backlinks:114
From the above analysis it is clear that the non www has more number of backlinks, so it is better to redirect www to non www.
Redirecting www to non-www
If you want to do the opposite, the code is very similar:
`RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^my-domain\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://my-domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]`
In this case we are explicitly typing the domain name. I'm sure it's possible to do it in a generic way, but I haven't had the time to work one out and test it. So remember to change 'my-domain' with your domain name!
If you want to know how to redirect the inner page then please check the link:
How do I redirect all visitors to the 'www' version of my Web site (or vice versa)?
I hope that your query had been solved.

Hi,
I'm not to sure on the networksolutions.com domain control panel, so I'm not to sure if this can easily be done by simply saying "point this to this", but it can definitely be done in an .htaccess file like so:
Redirect non-www to www.
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^pacomarca.com [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.pacomarca.com/$1 [L,R=301]Redirect www to non-www
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.pacomarca.com [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) http://pacomarca.com/$1 [L,R=301]Either one will work, just depends on which "version" (www or non-www) of the site you would want to use. Also, make sure that which ever one you go with you stick with. So if your site is with the www, make sure that any links you have internally also point to the url with www..
Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more information.

Redirect multiple domains to 1 domain or not?
Hi there, I have client who has multiple domains that already have some PA and DA. Problem is that most websites have the same content and rank better on different keywords.
Technical SEO | | Leaf-a-mark
I want to redirect all the websites to 1 domain because it’s easier to manage and it removes any duplicate content. Question is if I redirect domain x to domain y do the rankings of domain x increase on domain y? Or is it better to keep domain x separately to generate more referral traffic to domain y? Thanks in advance! Cheers0 -

Acquired domains for SEO
hi there, For one of our insurance websites we acquired a domain, this domain is going to be redirected to our domain. After some research we discovered the domain we've bought also includes other domains which 301 redirect to specific 'insurance products'. These domains are also included in the deal. But what is the best technical solution for redirecting these specific redirected product domains? They already redirect to the product pages of the domain we've bought, so after redirect this domain, the sub (product) redirected domains will also link to us. It would be like this: A) www.sub-carinsurancesite.nl (301) -> www.domain-we-bought.com/car-insurance -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance

B) www.sub-carinsurancesite.nl (301) -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance & www.domain-we-bought.com/car-insurance -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance etc0 -

How to prevent duplicat content issue and indexing sub domain [ CDN sub domain]?
Hello! I wish to use CDN server to optimize my page loading time ( MaxCDN). I have to use a custom CDN sub domain to use these services. If I added a sub domain, then my blog has two URL (http://www.example.com and http://cdn.example.com) for the same content. I have more than 450 blog posts. I think it will cause duplicate content issues. In this situation, what is the best method (rel=canonical or no-indexing) to prevent duplicate content issue and prevent indexing sub domain? And take the optimum service of the CDN. Thanks!
