Duplicate Text on Blog & Internal News Page

I have two places I post news for our company.
Our blog - typically more informal posts
mycompany.wordpress.com&
Our news page - typically more newsworthy than the blog
mycompany.com/newsMy question is, It is okay to just copy the exact text from my wordpress blog and paste to my news area of my site and vice versa?
Does this hurt ranking potential for either page?

Hi, I think the one to be copied to the other may have existing indexing in Google, so in general speaking it should have better ranking already but depends on domain weight too...i think if possible, you'd better not to 100% do copy & paste because this could cause duplicate contents cross the different domains, they are competitor pages to Google, as google doesn't know they are belonging to same company. therefore, it could cause some ranking up and down, but i think it;s minimal..
my suggestion is: from seo perspective, choose which domain or page is more important to you, focus on that domain./pages on content creation and link building...or.. if you have time and energy, you could do different contents each time which i think is not realistic..thanks Boson

How do I split page content?
So I offer two services for which each has an FAQ page (let's call them S1 and S2). The problem is that I also have a longer FAQ page that covers both services (S1-2). I would like to eliminate the longer one and attach the relevant content to each of the shorter pages but i'm concerned that deleting pages with a lot of content might be a bad idea. I could redirect I suppose but I wouldn't know which page S1 or S2 to point redirect to. Any advice on this?

Updating blogs - SEO best practice
Thinking of new blog content and one option obviously is to check out historical popular blogposts via Analytics and do fresh versions of those. So my question is what is best practice: 1. Copy and paste the old blogpost copy but edit it to be slightly different while still having the old blogpost live or 2. just update the old one and re-promote I assume it's better to have a new version of the blogpost?

Is it okay to delete old blog posts?
Hi All, I'm doing some SEO work on an entertainment (movies/tv/gaming) blog that started in 2011. Their recent articles have gained some popularity due to improved content and marketing, but there is some old stuff from the early days that was poorly written and gets virtually no traffic. These are mostly old news pieces. Out of approximately 10,000 articles, about 1,000 are receiving the lions share of the traffic. I feel like their good content is getting bogged down in a sea of crap. Would there be any harm in deleting some of those old posts? Is there a best practice for culling content? Thanks!

What are the effects of posting on a blog site using copied content from your site if you source the site on the blog site?
I have noticed that some of my pages from my site are posted to different blog sites and directory submissions they are word for word what is on my site but at the bottom of the page it does list my site as the source and there are links in the text back to my site. Is this going to negatively effect my rankings or is it ok since my site is sourced in the article?

Is this good Blog SEO Exposure Practice?
When I create a new blog post for my site www.piolettilaw.com/blog in an effort to make sure it is seen by the most people the quickest I do the following: (1) link it to my google+ account https://plus.google.com/b/115145499443620475217/+PiolettiPiolettiAttorneysatLawEureka/posts (2) I then link it in virtually the same way on facebook (3) I ping it my blog directory piolettilaw.com/blog using ping-o-matic Is that a pretty good gameplan to follow when making new blog posts? We currently have our own wordpress blog on our site using wordpress, is it worth while having others such as blogspot, tumblr etc for seo purposes? Or would I be wasting my time and efforts?
