Article Writing a thing of the past?
-
Some one emailed last month with:
Be warned – with the latest google algorythm changes – article marketing since two weeks ago is a thing of the past, read these below;
1. http://blog.ezinearticles.com/2011/02/search-engine-algorithm-changes.html

Just wanted others opinions and the way forward.
Thanks

I definitely don't agree that article writing is a thing of the past. What I think IS a thing of the past (at least, I HOPE so) is low quality articles, spun articles, and the thin content that so many directories have accepted, pre-Panda.
In fact, my business has exploded since Panda was released, as people scurry to acquire quality articles to replace the watered-down garbage they were previously buying for .01-.02 per word.
So I'd say no, it's not a dead practice, but going forward, it's going to take higher quality to be effective.

The question is in the title:
Article Writing a thing of the past?

I agree, but that's not really a question, is it?

Being paid to write! How much should I charge?
Hi Everyone, I just got my first offer to get paid to write for a small company in the USA! My question is; How much should I charge? The company asked me to define a "rate per word". I have been published in the following locations. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Moz - Main Blog - http://moz.com/blog/parallax-scrolling-websites-and-seo-a-collection-of-solutions-and-examples Moz - Youmoz - moz.com/ugc/website-design-wars-seo-agencies-vs-web-design-agencies-worldwide-trends Template Monster Blog - http://blog.templatemonster.com/2014/03/25/seo-as-a-part-of-web-design-process/ InfoBAE (Spanish Newspaper - I have my own column) - http://blogs.infobae.com/seo-sem/ Thanks! Handling articles
Is it better for seo to accommodate articles of more than 400+ words by creating new pages on a site or is it best to blog them.

Removing and resubmitting an article to another blog
I received a guest post earlier from an SEO company. I have published it, and it's been indexed in Google. Now the person wants me to remove the guest post, probably because they already have a guest post with a link pointing to the same client on my blog. I don't mind removing it, but are their any negative aspects in republishing that same article on another blog? Would it be a mistake to remove that article from my blog?

How to use articles effectively in a blog.
I wanted to start a blog so I could get some longer tail search term results. I am a knowledge expert in my area but am very busy as an entrepreneur so I had been putting it off for some time. It occurred to me that I might be able to outsource the article writing and I have started doing that. I have either come up with or have approved the topics. I am a very critical editor and demand high quality writing. The articles are all original. We are proofreading everything to make sure the articles are of high quality and inform readers about the subject. I plan to only put external links in the articles that link out to the sources for the information that was used to write the articles. We are also using pictures info graphics and video where possible. I plan to close the comments because, while we have had a website for some time and get some visitors (2500 per month) we are new to blogging and do not have a following that would post comments. My questions is this.......will these be viewed negatively by Google? I think this will be good content but I don't want to do anything to negatively affect us.

Can free article sites damage my reputation
Hi i have been submitting a lot of fresh articles on free article sites and they have been picked up which is good but my problem is, i am finding loads of these sites who have picked up my article using some sort of article rewrite programme and my articles look like they have now been written by a two year old. I want to know if this is going to spoil my reputation and i would like to know why people use these programmes when they do not even make sense.
