Is the whoisbusinesslistings.com directory a good place to get a link?

I stumbled across the whoisbusinesslistings.com directory and noticed that it's home page is page rank 4 and in the listing it allows do follow links to your site. They don't have pricing listed on the site though which scares me. Only a link to a sales person. Anyone know how much they charge and if it would be worth looking into?

No, it won't be of that much use no. Homepage PageRank ought not to be focused on too much, I've seen domains with homepage PR that are just complete garbage anyhow.
Again, the same with 'dofollow' links, there's far more 'weightier' metrics to be attracted to than whether a link is followed or not.
At the end of the day, it's just yet another business directory probably serving little purpose...
Is anyone going to use it? Probably not.
Will you get any traffic via the link? Probably not.
Will you see a return on the cost? Probably not.
In my view, definitely not worth looking into. Ask yourself this, what would make this website a good link prospect - if all you come up with homepage PR4 and dofollow. Then you're going about it all wrong.

Community Consensus: Are These Good Links?
I recently used a firm to do 2 months of outreach as a test for quality of work. Their reporting process is monthly, which seems fair, but after the first month's report I was sorely disappointed with the targeted domains for links. Apparently, the firm decided to condense the two months of outreach in to 4 days, so by the time I was finally able to see the work, the "job is done." Again, extremely disappointed. The original SOW was to target set posts for outreach in month 1, review/adjust and move in to month 2. No dice. So, here I am now left with a list of sites that have been targeted for outreach, being told "they are quality sites." What do you think, am I missing something and these are truly good links? Page links, header links, footer links

If you discount a subscription when the client links to you, does that classify as a paid link?
For example, we all subscribe to MOZ, but if we received a 25% discount on our subscription if we linked back, would that be considered by Google as a paid link, or would it be seen as a sales tool / promotion?

I'm not as interested in being linked to in resource sections - that will happen - but my question is for other links. What types of links am I looking for, is it guest posts - is that the best?
