Different browsers, same Search Engine=Different PR:why?
-
Hi Folks,
I am hoping for some clarity on this
Using different browsers First: IE, Second: Firefox. Same Search Engine Google.ie. I get totally different results when I search for "Buy Gold" In both browsers. I am not signed into my gmail account.
Can anyone tell me why this is please?
Thanks,
Sinead -
Hi Colin,
They are exactly the same in both browsers - interesting though I did note that one browser reported
About 120,000,000 results (0.17 seconds) while the other reported About 124,000,000 results (0.22 seconds)So sounds like some sort of filter at play? Thanks,Sinead

Have you checked your "location" setting in Google? It's on the left side on the Results Page.

Am I blind or has Google finally shut down its "Related Searches" option?
I know I just used this a few days ago, so I was surprised when doing keyword research today that I could no longer access the "Related Searches" feature in Google search. Has anyone else noticed this? It's a pity if it's gone, although I think Google announced it was going to shut this down over a year ago. They said the same thing about the "Patent" search too, but it is still available. I know using "Related Searches" was really popular with SEOs so I am wondering if anyone else is as sad-faced as I am? Or perhaps was it just bumped today so Google could have fun with their April Fool's beta test of Google "Nose" ?

Carrier v Operator - Does Google see a difference?
Hi, If you are in the US then it's Mobile Carrier. The rest of the world it's Mobile Operator. Now I know that Google already knows that optimize and optimise are the same - just different spelling. You can rank for the keyword regardless of the spelling. My question is does the same apply to completely different words? thanks Spencer
