Google + 1
-
1. does anyone know if these have a huge seo impact and if it is worth the effort to get these.
2. if you had to choose only one to focus on would you pick fb, twitter, or +1.
-
I definitely recommend using google +1 on your website. I think it will just be more and more important as your business grows especially for local search. I think as more and more people use it we will see a bigger impact in the organic rankings for those who have a lot of +'s.
Certain markets may be more apt to certain social sites. I think google plus has a larger user base in the computer/techie community verses your average person although they are pushing it on a lot of their gmail users.
I'd say put it all out there and see what works best.

thanks guys the reason i ask is after i convert traffic im having my new clients give the website a +1. i just wanted to know if this was worth the effort since i only knew it effected their search results and not the true organic serps.
-
But as Google +1 is to Google's serps, Facebook is to Bing's serps.
-
I believe Social is going to be a huge factor in serps for the future, logged in or not, and I'm sure it has a little weight right now. Or at least it is a signal to Google to pay a little more attention to a site or a page.
-
Let's look at it this way. If you have a site that is competing on a local level and you have 100 +1 and your competitors have none. It is my assumption that google will recognize this and rank you well for those in that same area that may have not +1 your site yet. Especially since google is focused on local results now days.
-
On another note, I would also try and get google reviews and yelp reviews. This can also help since the search engines sometimes add this info.
-
i know a plus one effects your serps and people in your google cicles but do you think that it has any bearing on regular serp rankings?
-
I don't think Facebook will benefit you from an SEO perspective so focus on Google + and get reviews. Reviews are the reason why people have contacted me in the past.
-
Google +1 is something we can't ignore. Google, the largest and most used search engine controls +1 and integrates this into their serps. Even if it isn't a huge factor in SEO, it is a huge factor in serps.
But I wouldn't select just one Social site to focus on. I would focus on the top ones. Google +1, Facebook, Twitter, and maybe LinkedIn or Pinterest. (It all depends on who your target audience is). Even if you aren't interacting with everyone on all of these sites, it is still important to allow people to Like, Follow, or +1 your site.
-
I would advise on focusing on Google Plus for your local seo and all 4 major social media sites for your larger demographic sites. Google plus is highly used by google of course to personalize an individuals search. This means that you have a greater chance of ranking well when a person +1 your site. On another note Bing takes into consideration Twitter and Facebook. So I suggest you work all 4 with an emphasis on Google+.

Is there a Facebook Ad equivalent to Google MCC?
Hi Mozzers, Really unsure if we are missing something here, but whilst trying to set-up paid ads for some of our clients on FB we have run into a significant issue. We need to be able to allow FB to debit multiple business accounts for varying ads on different pages. However every time we try to access the ads manager to set-up a new ad, FB takes us to the individuals (the person logged in to the page) account, rather than creating an ad account for that page/business individually. What are we missing? We use Google MCC for managing our PPC campaigns and so wondered if there is anything similar we can use for FB? Or any other recommendations on how to get round this without dragging each client into the office and asking them to log-in so that we can set these up? Thanks!

Requirement full bleed image share Google+?
Hi everyone, Im sort of a Google+ nutter and I wanted to figure out exactly what is required for a full bleed image to appear for +1 share on the page itself. I got it figured out and I think it requires: canonical url og:image image wider then 506px type article or page (microdata format) But sometimes it seems that pages without a canonical url still show full bleed image when shared as link when I insert the url directly into a google+ post. My question is if this could be a cached version of the page where it had a canonical url? Don't really know if that anyone is interested but I made a simple tool that checks if a page meets requirements for having a full bleed image when share as link on Google+. Think I nailed it pretty close but can't seem to get the full bleed image to appear for the tool itself do:) Please dont ask. It's driving me mad already. http://www.googlewiki.nl/seo-checker/check-fullbleed.php Try it. Take a blog post url, check it with this tool and then see for yourself if it's accurate. If not I would like to hear very much as it would help me pin point it better! Examples of pages with specific no no factors for you to try are:

+1's just Homepage or Everypage?
We just put added the little +1 button to all of our pages, and I'm curious if I should be trying to get +1's on all our pages, just the homepage or just the homepage and some of our most important pages? Also, is there any reason we should "slowly" add +1's, like google reviews? I'm sure we could get 100 - 200 of our g+ community to at least +1 the homepage if we asked and/or involved some sort of give-a-way, but I wouldn't want to get red flagged for that if it happened in a week. Granted, I'm not really sure how g+'s work in terms of SEO penalties or if there are any for things like that, but I want to double-check. Thanks for the help, Ruben

Does Google prefer YouTube video's embedded on a site or put in a Pop up image class for SEO purposes
Our company is an eCommerce site for aftermarket automotive accessories, we have been posting videos on our site. On some pages we have videos embedded from Youtube and on other pages the videos are embedded but in a Popup Image Class. Below I'll provide an example of one way we put the popup image class on our site <iframe id="vidf" style="display:none;" width="460" height="320" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/MattCutts?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> Now concerning SEO would it be better just to embed a video the traditional way or use the popup image class? The reason I ask is because the popup image class hides the video on the page with an image on top then once you click that image the video pops up. Can Google still crawl/see the video? What would be best practice for SEO?

What if an employee leaves and removes Rel=Author verification from their Google Plus profile?
What if someone leaves your company and removes your site from their Google Plus profile (under "Contributor To"). Does that kill all the rel=author on the pages written by this former employee? (Should you use the email verification with employees to avoid this scenario? Email verification is a big hassle for us.)

Google Auth and brands/individuals problem
So you can auth pages with personal google+ profiles - and its being suggested by some that this could now help rankings if that person has lots of people in their circles. So what about brand/companies content? why cant they auth the content with their Google+ profile to get the content ranking better. It doesn't seem right an individual blogger can do this but a company cannot who has written lots of guides. An example is a holiday company has written some awesome content on resorts around the World - how to use the auth for that content to rank higher? - currently only possible to link up an individual as writing the content not the brand/company itself. Any suggestions on this much appreciated. I do not want to lose any gain there might be from this new bonus given from Google.
