How are Google Plus pages related to Google Plus Local pages?

How are Google Plus pages related to Google Plus Local pages and what is the best way to join/link them?
e.g. if I go to Starbucks Google Plus page https://plus.google.com/117575809843355974839/posts, where can I see their store locations or google Places pages?
If I go to a Google Places page from Google Maps - which now takes you to a Google Plus 'Places' page - how is that Google Plus Places page related to that companies main Google Plus page - I can't see a way to go between them.

Is there a way to connect these two kinds of pages for a business?

Hi Tracy, Excellent question, and one I'm sure many people are puzzled about. Google is going to merge the Google+ Business pages and Google+ Local pages in future. I think if you will read this post, you will feel brought up to date: http://blumenthals.com/blog/2012/06/08/google-for-business-places-forums-wrapup/ They have already begun merging the pages when manually requested to do so, as you can read about here: http://blumenthals.com/blog/2012/06/19/the-g-merge-has-started-google-now-processing-manual-merge-requests/ Hope these resources make it clear to you what has happened already and what is supposed to happen in future.

QUESTION! Does anyone have any information about using an API to create Google Posts?
We have a client that has over 150 locations. They are using a software to post to all of their accounts at once with an API for different platforms. We are wondering if there is anyway to do this to post to their Google My Business Page.

Do we expect Google+ to continue being an important ranking signal after its recent changes?
I've noticed that Google Plus seems to have a larger influence on ranking than other social networks, especially for one of our competitors. We haven't started using Google Plus, and I'm wondering if, from an SEO standpoint, it's worth putting energy into after last month's changes. TL;DR: After last month's changes, is Google Plus still an important ranking signal?

Facebook City Places Pages
I would like to know how a business with multiple geographic locations can be listed on the Facebook City Page for each of it's separate office locations? Would you need to list the address of each office on the business' Facebook Business Page? Is it even possible to list more than one address per Facebook Business Page? Thanks!

Facebook Page likes vs Webpage facebook likes - Social Media Query
I have a website and a facebook page. I have the Facebook Social Plugin on my website which shows my facebook page likes - This is currently at approx 140 likes. Is there a difference between facebook page likes and webpage likes? For SEO purposes, should I be concentrating less on the Facebook page and more on building facebook likes for the website? Are there any guides on this? What gets people to like a website as opposed to a web-page?

Are there any proven SEO benefits of presence and popularity on Facebook, just as there is supposedly benefit from Google+?
How much does visibility on Facebook (or for that matter, Twitter) impact search engine results? I did see a post recently on SEOMoz recently related to that--- but do others have similar experience/ have data to show strong correlation between FB shares/ Likes and search engine results (on Google)? The second, FB-related question is: what are your thoughts on the effectiveness of Facebook for a B2B audience, particularly in a rather niche sector - let's say industrial products? Look forward to your views and answers! Thanks.

Open Graph Tags Being Spidered By Google?
Do Facebook Open Graph tags get spidered by Google? I have a site I'm looking at and they've implemented these tags on the entire site, but with the same title and description on every page. I'm assuming if you use these tags, give each page their own unique tags. But do these have an effect on rankings at all? Does googlebot see them and take them into account?

Anyone have a great example of a confirmation page with a social element?
We're thinking of adding social elements to our confirmation page, which as of right now doesn't ask for any specific action. Might as well take advantage. i.e. "Tweet this" or "Share this" with a shortened link to the landing page. Does anyone have any great examples of Twitter/Facebook being incorporated into a confirmation page? Visually pleasing, striking, great copy? It can be a confirmation for any type of action, whether you've just bought something, subscribed to something, joined a site, anything really.

Google+ and its effects on SERPs
Hi all, With the recent launch of Google+ I've looked into the possible effects of +1'ing sites and whether or not it has a direct effect on other people with whom I'm connected within Google+. So far I cannot see any direct correlation, however I running a bigger/wider experiement with more people to get a definitive answer. What does scare me as an SEO, is that Google+ users will (most likely) use Google search whilst they are logged in, which, as we know personalises results based on a myriad of suspected metrics such as previous visits, personal +1, etc... How is this going to effect the SEO world if/when a Google+ attracts more users. Experienced this first hand when a client called me to congratulate a jump from position 9 on Google to first position over the weekend, which when I checked, the website hadn't shifted, the client was logged into her Google account due to the fact she had been playing with plus. Thoughts? Cheers Aran
