Strange metrics : Internal Followed Links 0
-
Hi All,
I don't understand the metrics for this website http://www.tntaccess.fr : http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/www.tntaccess.fr%252F/a!metrics
There is 0 internal followed links, is it normal? because there are internal followed links for this website. Or there is something I dont understand.
It is penalizing for the website? how do we correct this? does it come from the robot text file?
Thanks a lot for your help
Anne

Hey Laurent,
The mozbot is different from the Linkscape Index, so while we are able to crawl a website or domain, it's a different set of sources that comprise the Linkscape Index. Check out that message I wrote above for the reason your site's links might not be indexed yet.
Hope this helps explain! Let me know if you have any other questions that aren't addressed in that message I wrote above. Thanks Laurent!

Hi Laurent.
Internal Followed Links 0Did you ever fix this issue?
-
Hey Anne!
I'm so sorry that you're getting that result in OSE. This does seem to be because your site hasn't been crawled in Linkscape yet, though several sites that link to it have. You can go here to see the list of linking domains (yours is not in the list, since we haven't crawled it yet). Most new sites and links will be indexed by our spiders and available in Linkscape and Open Site Explorer within 60 days, but some take even longer for a plethora of reasons, including crawl-ability of sites, the amount of inbound links to them, and the depth of pages in subdirectories. Just so you know, here's how we do our index: we take the last index, take the 10 billion URLs with the highest mozrank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains), and start crawling from the top-down until we've crawled 40,000,000,000 pages (which is about 1/4 of the amount in Google's index). Therefore, if the site is not linked to by one of these seed URLs (or one of the URLs linked to by them in the next update) then it won't show up in our index
We update our Linkscape Index every 3 to 5 weeks. Crawling the whole internet to look for links takes 2-3 weeks. And then we've got 1-2 weeks of processing to do on those links to determine which are the most important links etc. You can see a schedule of how often we update, and planned updates here: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule
If our crawlers or data sources are blocked from reaching those URLs, they may not be included in our index (though links that points to those pages will still be available). For now, the best thing you can do to help your domain become indexed is to continue to work on link building for links from sites with high mozrank. If you need help with that, you may want to ask the PRO Q&A community about it here!
I hope this information helps! While the site may not be indexed yet, give it some time - maybe we'll see it in OSE next month.
Have a great day and best of luck with your SEO!

Mozbot seems to allready have crawled my website, altough i am also having 0 followed internal links in the stats. Is there any way to fix it or find out where the restrictions are?
-
I suspect that moz bot did not yet crawl this site either due to restrictions imposed by the site itself or perhaps because it simply didn't get to it yet.
Example: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.tntaccess.fr%252Fintegral.html/a!links

8 point decrease in DA, increase in search traffic- should I disavow links?
Would a decrease in DA reflect the need to disavow junk links? My branded keywords recently bumped down two spots, whereas the keywords which have been bringing me the most traffic have been unaffected. Site: Edwardsturm.com DA decrease of 8 over past 3 months. Keyword "Edward Sturm" recently moved to second spot.

Internal Links Data on OSE and poor ranking despite excellent metrics
Hi folks, I use OSE a lot for comparing where we stand against our competitors and I'm always surprised to see most of our competitors have loads more internal links than we do. For example, comparing 'www.kensyard.co.uk' with 'www.sterlingbuild.co.uk', we are better on every Root Domain Metric except for the Total Links metric and this is down to a much smaller number of internal links. They are ranking better than us in Google so I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the way our site is coded / structured that means Google and OSE are not picking up our internal link network properly? We have over nine times as many external root domains linking to our site than theirs, which is surely a far more valuable metric than internal links right? Or is there an issue with our internal link structure that is confusing Google and causing us to rank lower? Many thanks for any advice, Luke

How to Link build for our site
Hello, A client of mine has a site that gives advice to people. It's moderately competitive. It's a content site. Using Open Site explorer, I looked up competitor's top pages and backlinks, and there were things such as sites that were heavy on directories, sites heavily on editorial mension, sites on juicy topics that I don't want to cover, and the rest was pretty much junk. Just so that you know, I only link build with quality websites that look strong, long term, have a nice design, are high quality, and are not a directory (with a few exceptions) What's the standard way to link build with a site like this? We've got 7 articles of good content that is from me spending hours learning about the subject and using my skills as a life coach. Right now I'm just adding quality content and social media. I am not a top expert in the field, but I'm learning as much as possible. How do we link build?

SEOmoz not displaying correct amount of links?
When I go to the link analysis page where ti shows how many links my site has and how many my competitors have...it shows that I have 0 links. But Google Webmaster Tools shows my site as having 149 links. Is this a glitch with zeomoz or whats going on? The reason I initially subscribed to seomoz was to track my links. Thanks

Which Moz Rank and I'm seeing External or both external and internal?
I found this on the MOZ site. It confused me. "Whereas MozRank measures the link juice (ranking power) of both internal and external links, external MozRank measures only the amount of mozRank flowing through external links (links located on a separate domain). Because external links can play an important role as independent endorsements, external mozRank is an important metric for predicting search engine rankings." In the tool bar and other places in Moz am I seeing the combo Internal or the External and how do I get to each? Maybe I'm just reading this wrong. 🙂

Missing back links in Open Site Explorer?
I'm looking at the Open Site Explorer for my site, and it shows 9 links to my site, all from 2 domains (showing all links from all pages and for both www and not www version of my domain name). But I know for sure that there are other sites linking to my site. Are they not there because they are not important or because the links have not been crawled yet?
