Good article distribution services?
-
Our site has a lot of content we are able to modify/distribute without too much time so I am planning to syndicate some of this using article distribution.
Apart from Ezine articles, are there any other article distribution services I should/could consider using?
I do know that I should also be focussing most of my resource on building high-quality links through guest blogs etc! However this seems like a relatively quick win.
Thanks in advance

Article sites don't have much value these days, I would suggest maybe repositioning the content for guest post spots.
You can always use http://myblogguest.com/ for guest blogging opportunities. -
I noticed that the list in the link is dated 2007 - but post Penguin how many of these article sites are suitable?

There is an amazing list here: http://www.seoresearcher.com/articles-directories-list-alexa-rating-ordered.htm
Also check out: http://www.seomoz.org/directories
That said, these article sites will only go so far towards helping your link building efforts. I wouldn't submit more than a couple of articles to each (all unique, too), as it will pass some Authority and increase your unique number of linking root domains.
Once you've exhausted that list to a good degree, try guest posting on other blogs if you have spare content!

Are High Domain Authority, Low Page Authority Links Good?
I recently created a scholarship with the hopes of getting .edu backlinks (as well as helping students in need, of course). So far, I have received 8 followed backlinks from very authoritative .edu sites (70+ domain authorities). The pages that link back to me are the "outside scholarships" pages. I've seen these pages range from having a page authority of 10 to 50+. For example, I just reached out to Johnson & Wales for a link on their outside scholarships page: http://www.jwu.edu/scholarships-from-outside-agencies/ You can see this page has a PA of 1 and a DA of 73. I'm wondering if Google will see the low page authority and not give me much valuable juice (if any). Are these types of links worth it?

Why are none of my incoming links showing up in SEOmoz or Google? How do I get good legit incoming links?
There are hundreds of sites that are linking to my website, but nobody is showing it. Google wont display any when using link:eugenecomputergeeks.com, and in webmaster tools it only shows 46 incoming links. SEOmoz shows only 3 links. This just isn't so. Why is this? I DESPERATELY need valid incoming links from well ranked websites , and having lots of trouble getting them. Nobody in town with a well ranked site seems to want to do a link exchange, and I've already made the mistake of buying my way into directories, which didn't do anything good for my rankings. Thanks!

Press Release Service for Link Building
I have a small question on your Mozzers! I have down in 30 days about 75 Backlink from 75 different sources of PR, National and International Press Release Domains. Some of them, are waiting for approval, from administrator, and some of them goes automatically published, but all have a good PR and PA&DA too. All 75 press release content was unique, 75 different contents, what do you think, are this links worth or not? THanks

Is posting our original articles on competitor websites with a linkback beneficial?
We are receiving requests to repost our articles in full on competitor websites. Our competitors have expressed they are fine with linking back to our homepage, and the original source page. Would this benefit us, or do more harm than good?

Matt Cutts on Article Marketing
I've been waiting for Matt Cutts to talk about this for a long time... finally a YouTube video! "Should you syndicate your articles out to sites such as ezinearticles.com as a way to build links?" He discussed this from an SEO perspective and does not recommend it. I thought that he was way too polite about it... but if you are a guy like him it isn't good to talk trash about the specifics. One topic that he didn't address was how article marketing can impact your competitive position. It feeds existing competitors and creates new competitors. You write twenty articles and they are each published by twenty sites, now there are 400 pages with your keywords out there competing against you. Not smart, IMO. Here's the link to the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5xP-pTmlpY&NR=1

Any good content sites with good quality links?
I have some content which is still relevant and interesting but not really suitable for my current websites. I have been thinking of using this on an article site to generate some links back to my sites, but I am wary about this due to Google's targeting of content sites. I currently have good PR's on Squidoo and Hubpages which link back and work quite well. Can anyone suggest any others or any ideas how to use this content for SEO purposes? Is using it for article submissions to get links short sited?

Duplicate content when uploading articles on other websites
Hi, We regularly write articles on our website and then submit them to different websites with link backs or sometimes without link backs. If google crawls these websites and our website, will it penalise us for duplicate content? Does it make a difference if we put link back to our site or not? If Google sees it as duplicate content, what should we do as a solution? Thanks

Article Links
I write and publish artcles. Typically I publish them on a few top article sites like EZineArticles. The articles then get picked up by other sites, often numbering in the hundreds. All of the articles are published with a link back to our website using a keyword. Are there any SEO risks in this type of link proliferation?
