Chris, Thanks for the link to Jon Cooper's page. What a great resource! Unfortunately utilizing a strategy that incorporates many of these techniques is critical to growing your domain authority. It's hard and that's the way Google likes it.

Nilesh,
Quite simply:
Page Authority is measured by several metrics but is related to the quality and numbers of links pointing to a particular web page.
Domain Authority is measured by several metrics but is related to the quality and numbers of links pointing to a a web domain.
In order for you to increase these metrics you need to acquire some more good quality links to your web pages, I would look at Jon Cooper's Link Building Strategies or the SEOmoz Link Building category for some good link building tactics and advice.
Thanks

What is the importance of root domains linking to your website in Google's rankings? I notice our competition has a much higher number on keywords I'm analyzing. Thank you!
I've noticed our competition has a much higher number of "root domains" linking to their page than we do. Is this simply a result of more websites linking to them? How long does it normally take to build up these numbers/rankings? (I'm assuming it's a concerted effort, which I'll be researching.) Thank you!

Best way to set up a support site - sub domain, separate site or com/support?
My company is setting up our support site. It has been suggested that we set it up as a separate domain - www.company-support.com, rather than setting it up as a sub-domain (www.support.company.com) or the usual www.company.com/support. The person who proposed this believes it wlll create link juice, but i wonder if splitting the traffic will create more harm than good? Opinions please!

What value do external broken links give to a domain?
I ask, as I've just used opensite explorer to look at external links a competitor has, and I've found the high value ones at the top of the list go to a page that no longer exists on their site. Are these stiill of value in the SERP's, or have they messed up by not putting a 301 redirect on them?

What if trusted sites in your niche have low authority?
What if the most trusted sites in your niche have relatively low authority? Should you still spend a lot of resources to get those links or go after easier links with higher link authority (as determined by MozRank)?

Is it safe to do a lot of links to a new post on an old domain?
Hi, I was wondering as far as being aggressive in link building can you add a lot of links to a new post on an aged domain? How many would you say is too much for the new pages if the over all domain has about 40k links? I am just wondering of a safe round about number monthly that can be done although I do realize this is site specific. I would trust your best guess. Thanks, ~JImmy

What to do about bad backlinks hurting authority?
My site has many backlinks from 208.109.47.246/* and go.diaodou.com/* which have low authority. The 208.109.47.246 I believe is my godaddy IP and I don't know why I have the diadou links. Is there anything I can do about these links other than building other more reputable links? Could switching hosts or going to a dedicated IP solve the 208.109.47.246 issue? Here is a look at the links- http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/www.mueslifusion.com%252F/a!links Thanks,
