Calling all those that know about Trust Pilot

I've long been considering using Trust Pilot (or another form of customer feedback service) to gather reviews for my websites.
At the moment my main website has 0 reviews.
Is it worth promoting the Trust Pilot link to my customers after they have converted to encourage them to leave feedback even **if **I do not have a Trust Pilot account?

We've just started using Trust Pilot at www.refreshcartridges.co.uk.
We've only been using it for two weeks or so but as I see if there are two potential issues with providing a link but not paying for the service:
- Unless your customers have used TrustPilot in the past it may look like you're writing reviews of your own website since they will be new users, will only have one review to their name and won't be verified buyers.
- I don't believe they will share the reviews of your site with Google unless you subscribe. As such the only people seeing the review will be other Trustpilot users.
Apart from that I suppose something is better than nothing, especially if it's free.

Google Trusted Stores
Hello, So we sell millions of dollars a month in merchandise - most of that comes from eBay transactions. We do have a script that posts to eBay and we do download our transactions from eBay and process the orders from our admin. Now I feel we will do a lot better in the SERPs if we have the trusted stores quality signal. However; it comes down to this. The conversion pixel. Since the don't pay through the site - do you think we can get away of sending a email to a second conversion page for eBay transactions? Have any of you noticed a boost in SERPs once you were approved with the Trusted Stores? Any advise?

What are other SEO's calling themselves now?

Just want to know if others have seen simliar results with Squidoo's organic visits
I have some old squidoo pages and yes they haven't been tended to as well as my other content that is outperforming it, and yes that could be why. So rather than asking why it is underperforming, I just want to know if anyone else has heard that Squidoo was in line for a spanking, or if anyone else has seen similar organic reductions. That way I know if it's me getting the spanking, or if it's squidoo. Thanks a mil. Tyler

Anyone else know much about the Google Pirate penalty?
The Google 'Pirate' (no official name) seems to have gone largely undiscussed since it was launched last - Fri 10th August http://insidesearch.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/an-update-to-our-search-algorithms.html. The idea of it is to ensure those 'Pirating' content or abusing trademarks e.g. fake ugg boot sites and file sharing sites do not appear higher in the search results than the genuine websites. Google is using DMCA take down requests for labeling sites as Pirate and demote their rankings, Im amazed not even seomoz has covered the subject yet as far as I can see, yet it is a hugely important new update, albeit affecting a relatively small number of sites now, and in some cases (at least one I know first hand) seemingly without justification (the example I know is not a file sharing, fake goods, trademark abusive site at all.) Google updating its search algorithm based on DMCA take down requests seems a bit strong - these are takedown requests, not legal proof that a site is infringing a trademark. A real weapon for negative SEO? Anyone else had experience of the pirate update or know much more about it? Outside Danny Sullivan I dont see many SEO folk covering it. What are some good organizations an SEO company can join that are strong trust signals?
We are working on a website redesign, and want to prominently include some trust signals that help people feel comfortable with us. We're including logos of a few places we've guest posted, and also the BBB and local chamber of commerce. Do you have any other ideas on logos we can include that are good trust signals? Any associations or organizations we could join? We are a trustworthy company, we just want a way to communicate that visually, and it seems organization seals and logos are the way to go. Thanks!

Anyone know how to get into Google Advisor search?
Looking for information on how to get into Google Advisor (https://www.google.com/advisor/home). Google is rolling out their own meta search engines in select categories right now - finance and hotels to start - but i cant find any documentation, help or data on how to get yourself in that feed/search. Anyone have experience in with this yet?
