Should I 'nofollow' the pages on my site I want to rank the highest??
-
I have a lot of pages on my site & I was wondering if I would be better off tagging the pages that are most important to me nofollow.
Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks

The way Eliathah is suggesting is correct if you are looking at external links from your site.
If you are look at links to other pages on your website ("lot of pages on my site") then i would never nofollow them unless they really are only the increase the number of pages on your site and don't contain any real usefull info. Then again, why would you make a page without any usefull info right?
Hope this helps
Kind Regards
Jarno

if you think the association with the pages you're linking to is negative in Google's eyes, then go ahead and nofollow them. if you're linking to quality resources, it actually should have a positive impact on your rankings, not a negative one

Outsource Engineering Design India
Offshore Engineering Design India My question is, should I create 2 separate pages for these keywords with the addition of their extended related keywords or just keep one long page with both these keywords targeted? Technically, Outsource and Offshore have separate meanings but on SERP it seems like both are searched for the same purpose. Can you please share your views on this? Thanks0 -
Why doesn't Google show my site in the results when searching for my exact URL ?
I haven't done too much work with optimizing the site yet, but I was curious as to why the site doesn't even show up in any of the google results when searching on the exact URL. What could cause this behavior?

Sudden keyword rankings drop
Hi, My latest MOZ report has indicated there has been a significant drop in ranking for 65 keywords, some by as much as 30 places. This is not something I have experienced before and seems very drastic. Is there a reasonable explanation or fix for this? Thanks for any advice!

Google ranks better apps over articles
Hello, On my quest to recover from Goolge´s updates I found out that the serps show apps and software downloads ranking better than content (articles or similar) for one of my most popular keywords. When the ads above the fold update hit my site (I can only assume that because of the date) I lost about 50% of my traffic). This keyword dopped from the first or second position to a steady fifth or sixth page position. Today, I was trying to research which sites outranked me and to my surprise no result in the first 15 position was an article, just apps and software downloads. It is not that is wrong. Let´s say that we are talking about an area similar to instagram software (although it doesn´t rank in this keyword). I´m not asking about my site. I simply want to know if the web apps (social sites) and mobile apps are taking over the content in serps. Is it that now you can´t go for a high place in the rankings (for certain keywords) if you are not a social site or an app? Thanks!

How many keywords/key phrases to use on main page
Hi all! I'm a bit new to the SEO process. My question is about keywords. Now, I realize that in a perfect world you would want to target one keyword/key phrase per page - or so I've heard. How many keywords/key phrases should I target for my main page? I'm working on a Dallas real estate firm website. They focus on luxury real estate in Dallas, high rises, ect.. So I was thinking of focusing on "Dallas luxury real estate" for the main page but wasn't sure if I should focus on 2 or 3 other terms for the main page. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Keyword analysis/optimization for blog sites (avoiding self cannibalization)
Hi there, I work on a site that has regular blog and article posts (or at least, we're shooting for regular), and I'm trying to work on a fluid approach for keyword analysis and optimization. I am wondering...is it best to research new keywords for each new post? I am unsure of what the effect is of optimizing multiple pages for the same keyword. I've been using the SEOmoz report card tool to grade my on page optimization, and I noticed one of the criteria was to avoid self cannibalization. Will I be competing against myself if I optimize multiple pages for the same keyword? I'm worried about what will happen in a month or two when I run out of common keywords and have to start optimizing our latest posts around really obscure keywords. Am I thinking about this the right way? Thanks!
