Cost of Retargeting (Remarketing) Ad Clicks

If you run an Adwords banner campaign with retargeting, how is the cost per click determined? My hunch is that it would be different than text ads in search result pages.

In essence, it's much the same as standard PPC bidding. You choose a keyword to determine the category of sites / pages where your adverts will be displayed and then you are bidding against other advertisers. In my experience, this ends up cheaper than standard PPC but as it is a second attempt you would hope so.
If you are using image adverts the best approach is to create ads at all the various sizes and it gives you more opportunities. You can then review the performance / cost of each advert and may find that you do better with certain adverts etc.
Much like normal PPC it's all about measuring and refinement over time to really sharpen things up.

Every banner you display is the result of an ad auction taking place on Google for that particular placement. Since you're targeting your ad to people, those people will visit different sites, some of which the bids for ad placements are low, so the CPC can vary quite a bit.

The cost of re-targeted ads is often less than the cost of standard ppc text ads, the actual cost depends on several factors that are unique to your campaign such as terms target.

hi, I have a google adwords account running for a while in a fairly competitive market in a major city so there is only one geo location with many suburbs or council areas as popular searched. I have keywords that are 2-4 words long and very similar. I have had one keyword in its own campaign, several in one campaign and a location campaign. The location campaign has several adgroups for specific suburbs. Does having redirects in a Adwords text ad destination URL hurt quality scores?
I recently noticed that one of my clients had several redirects in their Adwords text ad destination URLs. I updated the destination URLS to land on the final location (thereby losing all the text ad history). However I'm wondering if this could have any impact on the text ad quality scores (none of them were disapproved).

Google Remarketing Targeting
I've been thinking lately about employing re-marketing in AdWords, and have been doing some research on it. My findings keep pointing to the fact that you can't target only people who visited your site but didn't convert. I keep thinking this cannot be true because it's simply too ludicrous to be. Why else would you want to use re-marketing? Can someone please either confirm or deny this? Thanks

PPC - Fixing the campaign so ads always rank in positions 1 - 3
Hi everyone, I have more of a SEO background than a PPC one so excuse me if this question seems simple. I have inherited a Google Adwords campaign and want to accomplish the following Fix the campaign so the ads only appear in positions 1 – 3. The campaign came with a relatively good structure. Google Adwords Clicks v.s. Google Analytics Visits
Hi Guys, This question has been asked several times before but after doing some research, I haven't really found the right solution and/or explanation. I'm currently seeing a 30-50% discrepancy in Adwords Clicks and Analytics Visits, where there are more clicks than visits in most situations. E.g. 74,127 clicks v.s. 46,845 visits (34 add-to-carts, 67 initiated orders, and a revenue of $12,000). Can anybody in the forum help explain this? Thank you, Jurgen P.S. I've also looked at all the tracking codes and everything seems to be alright, I've checked if any internal redirects are stripping off parameters but to no avail. Lastly, I'm not sure if this is a behavioral issue here in SEA--will first click (Adwords) and last click attribution (Analytics) be the only explanation? P.S.S. I'm seeing the same discrepancies with Facebook ads and Analytics.

Is it really worth it to invest on Facebook Ads?
