Long tail traffic only to category, should we make the title keyword rich?
-
Hello,
Some of my client's internal categories only rank for long tail terms. Should we make the title keyword rich or should we stick to one very small keyword phrase and use that as the title.
Also, is there any reason to write a full 500 words for category descriptions on weak, internal categories(PA 15)?
Thanks

Thanks Irving,
How do you optimize a title tag for long tail keywords on an internal category?
-
Without seeing the site i would say category pages optimized for long tail and main pages optimized for main keywords.
If the content is extremely thin, content is always a good idea but that is a question that depends on the amount and value of the traffic compared to the LOE it takes to write unique content for each page.

Keywords and content query
Hi we are in the process of redesigning a web site and I’m looking to ensure each of the pages are correctly optimized. I’m concerned that some of the pages do not allow for text or content . From an optimization perspective is there a general rule around the amount of text a page should have and the amount/ration of keywords they should contain? Any advice would be much appreciated.

What's better, lots of keyword targeted pages or fewer pages with more traffic going into them?
We have just introduced targeted pages for all of our keywords, however their is lots of overlap with existing established pages. For instance for the keyword Small Meeting Rooms we have the new page, titled Small-Meeting-Rooms which is now competing with the more established Meeting-Rooms. Its early days for both pages, about 2 weeks and 6 weeks respectively. But is it counterproductive to spread out our search juice between lost of pages? Should we just focus on a few? Any feedback, especially feedback based on real experiences is much appreciated!?

Ranking for more keywords - Noob question
Hi, I've noticed recently that our site is ranking for a fraction of the keywords that our competitors are ranking for. In terms of increasing the number of keyword rankings per page would it simply be a case of adding optimised copy to each page? Thanks, Dan

E-commerce Categories
Hello fellow SEOmozers! I'm rebuilding out e-commerce site and have a question about categories. We sell branded servers, workstations, storage and related parts/upgrades. I know that nesting categories too deep is not recommended (and slows down the shopping cart), however if were to create more main categories then I'm affraid of keyword stuffing or spamming, do you think this would be ok or what would you recommend I do in my situation? <colgroup><col width="131"></colgroup>

Trying to avoid Keyword Cannibalization
I have a navigation menu at the top of my page with drop down menus that lead to different pages of my web site. Very typical navigation. If I have a page that is optimized for a particular keyword, lets say "Awesome Blue Widgets", do I want to remove that link from the navigation menu on the page awesome-blue-widgets.htm since the link uses the keyword phrase "Awesome Blue Widgets'?
