How to see rankings for a group of keywords over time?
-
I have around 1200 keywords in an seomoz campaign, chopped into various groups using labels. I am interested in tracking how keywords perform over time, especially groups of keywords. As far as I can tell, in the seomoz tools I can only see historical performance for a single keyword at a time.
-
Is there a way to get a historical performance graph of more than one keyword at once? We often run optimizations for sets of words, so it seems like you would have better stats looking at groups of words vs picking one at a time.
-
Is there a way to export historical data for more than keyword at a time? (So I could graph and analyze this sort of thing myself)
-
Does anyone have other suggestions for tracking rankings in this way?
Thanks for any help!

This article might be able to help a little. It does not use SEO Moz campaigns to track keyword performance but does discuss how you can crawl search results from google for a to group keywords and then pair those results with data from Open Site Explorer. You would not necessarily be interested in the second part. Perhaps the spreadsheets discussed in these articles can help?

The first article references the second and third article. The second article talks about how to use spreadsheets to scrape sites (include google SERP). The third article mentions automatically grabbing data once a mont or so. Seems like you could get a solution for what you are looking for with these three articles.

I don't believe it's possible to see historical data for more then one keyword at a time.
You could export current data for your set of keywords with a given label every week or so to csv, combine the data and you'd have historical data going forward. Obviously this is not what you are looking for but could help if there's no better option.

Keyword Stuffing - MOZ On-Page Grader
We sell a great number of insulation products, many of which are produced by individual manufacturers. On the page identified below the Keyword "Kingspan" is repeated numerous times as these items are included in our online shop. However, the many mentions of Kingspan are recorded in the HTML5 Source Code, rather than an external database. When I used the MOZ On-Page Grader, using the keywords "Kingspan" I was surprised to achieve an "A" Grade! I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I am wondering why the significant repetition of the word "Kingspan" has not negatively impacted my score? http://www.just-insulation.com/001-eshop/buy-kingspan-thermapitch-thermawall-thermafloor-insulation-boards.html

Does SEOmoz have a Keyword Research tool similar to, say, the Google AdWords tool or the WebCEO Keyword Research Tool? And where might that be? (Sorry, I'm very new to SEOmoz Pro.)
I'm looking for an SEOmoz version of the classic WebCEO Keyword Research that would give you effective suggestions based on a keyword inquiry. I've made the switch from WebCEO, but I'm trying to find something similar to that Keyword Research tool. Am I going to just need to use the Google AdWords tool for this function or does SEOmoz have it's own version?

Why is my site not ranking?
I have done various link building strategies, and used all white hat seo methods. SEOMoz even shows that my site is better than all my competition, but yet it doesn't rank ANYWHERE on Google. Can someone point me in the right direction as to why this is happening? I have attached the opensitexplorer screenshot showing my competition. 2013-02-13_1456_zpsb86ab0e1.png

Cities in Keywords Ranking Reports
So I've been in the habit of creating a master list of keywords concatenated with the city name so I can track my local rankings versus competitors. 1. Is this the correct thing to do to help hone in on who competitive my sites are ranking in the local market? 2. If so, by doing this the On Page reports seem to be totally screwed, because the searches I'm tracking (with city) vs the keywords I want to analyse for on-page ranking (without city), are different. What is the solution?

Problem with Rankings and On-page Optimization
Hi SEOZ 🙂 I have a question regarding the Rankings and On-page Optimization in the seomoz Campaign Manager. I have setup a website url for examle: www.keyword.com After that created a list of all the target Keywords, that I want to reach within my Website: keyword-a, keyword-b, keyword-c and so on... Then I did a On-Page Analysis for all the urls with the specific keywords. keyword-a: www.keyword.com/keyword-a/ keyword-b: www.keyword.com/keyword-b/ keyword-c: www.keyword.com/keyword-c/ and so on... Most of the urls got the A grade. Now after the Website hast launched and got crawled, I have a problem with the Rankings and the On-page Optimization. The Rankings for my Keywords and also the Grades at the On-page Optimization are only shown for my Start/Homepage: www.keyword.com NOT for the urls that are specific for a Keyword for example: www.keyword.com/keyword-a/ Also the Grades are shown for the Keywords but again only in combination with my Start/Homepage www.keyword.com NOT for www.keyword.com/keyword-a/ What is the problem? Bye, Alex

Problem with the keyword difficulty tool
sorry if this has been asked/been written about previously, I had a search but couldn't find anything. I am using the keyword difficulty tool to narrow down on some keywords and whilst the % score for each keyword is being displayed, the Google Adwords data is blank. It just shows the animation as if it was pulling the data but after some ten mins or so not data is pulled, just the animation still running. Is there a problem with the tool or does the problem lay at my end? Thanks, Carl

Is the keyword difficulty tool the most helpful in all situations?
I understand that the scores it generates are essentially based on the difficulty of appearing on the first SERP for the keyword in question. That said, I am having a lot of difficulty finding keywords in my niche which return a score that would make this easily achievable for a site of my size.... The reason I'm pointing this out is because theoretically, a keyword could have a HIGHLY competitive first SERP, with a significant drop-off on the second SERP, which would make achieving a top ranking on that page substantially easier. So my question really is, is the importance of appearing on the first SERP so unequivocally important that it is a pointless activity to attempt deliberately to rank for keywords on the second SERP, which is ignored by the keyword difficulty tool? I know the breakdown of clicks goes something like 40% for top spot, 12% for second and downwards from there, but if a certain query has over a million searches per month, for example, it would still be possible to get considerable amounts of traffic by trying to rank highly on the second SERP, which the keyword difficulty tool cannot help with. So is this really a useless activity?

Group by domain broken in OSE?
When trying to browse the results using the "group by domain" filter in OSE, when you click on the next page or one of the page numbers the results go back to the ungrouped list.
