Is this good practise for SEO: www.example.com/testing-once/testing-once.aspx?
-
My web developer is telling me that it is best practice for SEO to place your keyword in your URL twice. For Example: www.example.com/testing-once/testing-once.aspx. I'm sure that this is not true, could you please help?
-
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer this question. You have pretty much confirmed everything I thought. I will definitely be taking your advice going forward.
Again, many thanks for the help.

I'm not sure where they're getting that information, but it's pretty ill-advised.
Now, there is some evidence to suggest that there is a correlation between having your keyword in the URL and higher rankings, see this searchmetrics study for more details.
The influence, however, is barely noticeable and having the keyword twice will very likely add no benefit at all. If anything, it may result in your URL looking spammy to a user, or even over-optimised to Google, which is a bad thing.
Include it once if you can, don't worry if you can't. Forcing to include it twice is definite overkill.
Hope this helps.

Repeat keywords on the pages/titles
I know it is important to avoid duplicate titles and title tags, but I wanted to verify. Lets say you are a collection agency, would it be smart as a strategy to do domain.com/collectionagency/Dallas_ collection_agency and have that same key word structure for many states so many pages?

Microsoft SEO Toolkit vs MoZ
Hi MoZ Community, Does anybody know how well is Microsoft SEO Toolkit. As far i have noticed this tool reports around 20 violations under three broad areas like : SEO, Content and Performance. On many violations I have found MoZ to be silent like : 1-unnecessary redirects 2-Invalid mark ups 3-Missing Tag 4-like vilations and others Important is that it tells solutions as well against each violation on how to fix that. Any body can give insights while comparing it with MoZ. Tanveer

Paying someone for SEO help?
Moz has been very helpful but since my site was hit by Google Panda and I am getting very little organic traffic, I am thinking about having someone who really knows SEO take a look and give me some help. However, I have no idea how to find someone reputable. Any advice for hiring someone for SEO help (on a budget?)

Responsive web design and SEO
Hi guys, Do any of you know about responsive web design? In short it's a method that ensures that your website adopts to the resolution on the users screen. The point is that you don't have to make a site for each format, it's all there in your overall design. So, to the question: Does, to your knowledge, an integration of responsive web design harm your SEO? I tried to search for "responsive we design + SEO" but I really didn't get any useful information. Thanks a lot - all comments are very much appreciated.

Sitemap generator and /index.htm
I use DMX Zone sitemap generator in Dreamweaver. When generating the sitemap, it includes both http://www.domain.com and http://www.domain.com/index.htm. Should the /index.htm be deleted from the sitemap, or will the 301 redirect take care of that? Best,

How many keywords / phrases can you SEO for?
Might sound like a bit of a daft question to you pro's but here it goes... I am been doing in house SEO for a company for a short while and since I have been managing it things have moved quickly in the right direction but I find myself limiting our SEO efforts to three key terms. Is this usual? The reason I am doing this is because I find that on page SEO is only really possible with those amount of terms (with regards to title, description, key word density, seo copy, on page links etc). I guess that what I trying to stay is: If I push on page opitimastion to more key terms will it be detrimantal to our current efforts? and Is SEO possible for additional key phrases which are not on page optimised?
