How to track affiliate ads on Google analytics
-
Hi
Im new google analytics user, I would like to track affiliates ads (banner flow -javascript) on my website. How to set up goals to track affiliate ads? thanks.
-
Hi.
For setting up goals in Analytics you need either one of two things in this case: a page that user visit or an event that is triggered when the user clicks on an affiliate ad. I'd guess that neither one of them is used at the moment so I would suggest adding this to your javascript banner flow.
Hope this helps!

What is it exactly that you'd like to track? How would you define the goals you'd like to set up?
I think the only thing you can track is the impressions and clicks on the ads. You can't see what users are doing on the site of the advertiser (if they convert fx.), because this is not taking place on your site. Usually the affiliate platform / network can give you more statistics about this.

Google Analytics - Tracking multiple thankyou pages?
Hi Guys, I want to track email opt-ins for multiple thank you pages. The setup is as follows: http://image.prntscr.com/image/57632e05a15f42fda0b8ffec2d176460.png I have not yet built the thank you pages, so i was wondering what the URL should be to make it easy to track them in GA? I'm thinking: domain.com/thankyou-page/page1 Then using regular expression in GA to track /thankyou-page/ Would this be a good way to go about it? Cheers. f6c7r0

Google Analytics SEO Queries Not Showing
Hi All, This might be a silly question, but for all the properties I monitor in Google Analytics, I'm now showing no data for SEO Queries under Acquisition for the past 6 days. Normally I would expect a few day delay in queries, but nothing for 6 days is somewhat peculiar especially as it was functioning fine prior to November 12th. Does anyone have insight into what might be going on? Thanks! URaNMa3

Is Google doing anything about the spam referrer plague in Google Analytics?
My client manages 15+ websites and we have observed the spam referrer issue has gotten steadily worse and worse in the last few months. I took the time to weed out the worst offenders via traffic filters but our referral traffic source garden was quickly full of weeds again a few weeks later. Does anybody know what the Google Analytics development team is doing to combat the spam referrer issue? I find it quite amazing that Google goes through the asinine effort to block out organic keyword data ("not found" & "not provided) but they don't seem to care about blacklisting/filtering spam referrers. Can I move Google tracking from one account to another?
Hi: We've recently taken over the hosting of a client's web site. Is there a way to move the Google Analytics tracking from the old host's account to the client's account without losing all the history?

Google Analytics Code
We have a quick question about our Google Analytics code: We recently updated to a re-marketing Analytics code, and some of our traffic numbers seem to be off by a bit. I used the Google Tag Assistant Chrome Extension today, and noticed that it's finding our old Analytics code on our pages, but it's coming up as an error due to "no HTTP Response". I am attempting to remove this code from the website, but it is nowhere to be found in the HTML coding. Only the current one is there. So I'm wondering if this second Analytics code is effecting our traffic and reporting, even if the code is currently non-functional? and if it is, how could I go about removing it if it's not currently in our HTML? Thanks!

Looking for a solid educational piece for continuing education for our staff on Google analytics.
Particularly, the updates that have been made in the last few months with the new interface. Any suggestions? Book and course are of interest.

Google analytics advanced segments
Ok, I need help with a simple (although, for some reason, I'm having trouble with it) advanced segment. Dilemma**:** All of our techs have a backend cookie that they use to log into our website. I want a way toexclude all visites where the landing page contained this in the url:/backend/cookie.php?username= Advanced Segment: We have a lot of techs and each one of them has a different "username=example". So how can I set up an advanced segment where it will exclude any visit where the visitor came in one a landing page containing /backend/cookie.php?username=
