Broken links detected by SEOMOZ
-
hi there, the SEOMOZ crawl has detected two "broken links" :
http://www.tarifakitesurfcamp.com/feed/
http://www.tarifakitesurfcamp.com/comments/feed/how can I fix the problem? I know that these two links are related to the user's subscription (hypothetical) to my website updates.
Thanks in advanced.

Juan,
I just checked your feeds, they're valid now:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tarifakitesurfcamp.com%2Ffeed%2F
Good job.

Thanks Jesse, i think everything is ok now. It was just a problem of not having written posts as my website only contains pages.
Thanks anyway.

Hi Juan,
Those links are in your source code:
Right click: view page source.
However, "Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found" when accessing you feeds.
A. To fix the problem, you'd have to make some blog posts or try this plugin or its variant:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/rss-includes-pages/
I suppose you created only pages.
B. Or, if you don't want to have feeds at all, you can remove those links from header.php file of your theme.
Another easy way, is to install Yoast WP SEO plugin (yoast.com/wordpress/seo/) and at the Titles and Metas section:
Clean up the head check the Hide RSS Links option.
Hope it helps,

I'm not sure I understand.. where are those pages linked from within your site and why?

To Many Links & Long Titles
One of our clients currently has a number of pages that "Too many on page links", Now her menu in itself has the majority. With it being an eComerce website it has quite a few categories. How harmfull is this to search rankings. The other side of thing's, Currently the client has a large number of pages where the title of the page is the product, However her products for example could be "The pink fluffy bear 2x4 with extendable arm and voice activation ( batteries not included )" Again, how Harmfull is having a large volume of pages named like this.

Internal Linking
If i link page A to page B then link page B back to page A would this have less effect than linking page A to page B only? Also are their any good resources for learning internal linking best practise? Thanks in advance.

Broken Links/Images Non Optimized Content Help
Hello, After 4 years of incorrect blog creation and 4000 blog posts I have seen the light. I have implemented a new theme, SEO friendly, based on a yoast website report and have been creating timeless blogs with correct structure. However, I have 5400 broken links and images based on the Broken Link Checker. Additionally, of our 2500 blog posts which are on app reviews, only 500 are optimized so I have been painstakingly been going through each to optimize, while balancing new content output. The trouble is Google is seeing massive changes and we are tumbling in search. Any suggestions on how to approach this as it is my understanding that the broken links/images are doing considerable damage to our website overall. the website is crazymikesapps.com thank you Mike

How do I PERMANENTLY change an incorrect URL link with one of my keywords?
Hello, I received an “F” grade on my on-page report for one of my keywords. I noticed that the URL linked with that keyword was wrong. After changing it to the correct URL, I received an “A.” However, the change was not permanent. How do I permanently change the URL? I don’t see any “Save Changes” or “Apply Changes” button anywhere. Thank you!

SEOMOZ tool - on page optmization question
Ok, I had the tool examine a page and while I got an A, it did say this..... Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization Easy fix <dl> <dt>Cannibalizing link</dt> <dd>"Kitchen Storage Racks", "Home Storage Racks", "Garage Storage Racks", "Wine Storage Racks", "Bicycle Storage Racks", and "wine storage racks"Explanation</dd> <dd>It's a best practice in SEO to target each keyword with a single page on your site (sometimes two if you've already achieved high rankings and are seeking a second, indented listing). To prevent engines from potentially seeing a signal that this page is not the intended ranking target and creating additional competition for your page, we suggest staying away from linking internally to another page with the target keyword(s) as the exact anchor text. Note that using modified versions is sometimes fine (for example, if this page targeted the word 'elephants', using 'baby elephants' in anchor text would be just fine).</dd> <dt>Recommendation</dt> <dd>Unless there is intent to rank multiple pages for the target keyword, it may be wise to modify the anchor text of this link so it is not an exact match.</dd> </dl> The keyword that was optimized was "storage racks". In the explanation it says that baby elephants is fine if elephants is your keyword so why isn't wine storage racks or kitchen storage racks ok what is the difference? why is mine cannibalizing but baby elephants is not? This may be very simplistic to you all but I'm learning as i go, thank you in advance

Too many on-page links
Hi, My website - www.thepartyhouse.com.au is showing as having too many on-page links for over 4,000 pages. Take for example the homepage which is showing as 188 links, but I don't understand this because I've used SEO tools to display the links and I am showing around 90 links on this page. How can I see what all the links are? Thanks
