Search Traffic Declining
-
Hello,
My search engine traffic has been declining recently - I saw one decline last August and another this past April.
I'm trying to figure out what caused the decline and would love advice on where I should start digging. Any recommendations would really help me!
Thanks in advance.

Great suggestions by John.
I would also check your other visitor-source stats: direct traffic and other [besides SEs] referrers, and correlate with other real-world activities and events. This relates not only to the possibility of other new backlinks, but also to any other marketing efforts you (or your client) may have been doing in, or before, the months in which your SE traffic dropped. If visitors are finding your site easily by other means (news items, collateral handouts, etc), your number and percentage of search-based traffic may drop.

Could be lots of reasons from my own experience, if your site has not been penalized, which I am sure you would know and have not said ... I would start looking at content:
Are you pages optimized enough, or indeed over optimized.
Have competitors naturally pushed your results further down the SERP.
Do you monitor your backlinks, have some of these been removed from affiliates.
Is your content optimised for mobile, more and more people are using mobile devices to browse.
That is where I would start at least and see if you can get any answers there
Regards
John

Increase in Rankings, but search visibility is decreasing
I just started updating my site with the very basics, focus keyword, meta description, and page titles. I see that I am going up in my targeted keywords, however my search visibility has dropped from 3.34% to 2.78%. My assumption is that my keyword choice is a little off, however I see that I have increased in keyword rankings and dropped very little in what I was ranking for previously, plus the keyword volume seems relatively the same. In fact I've added far more keywords than I have dropped. Curious why my search visibility has dropped, however my keyword rankings only seem to increase.

Search Console says 111 links. Moz says 3\. Do I have a site problem?
I understand that Moz doesn't show all links; but i would think that out of 111 links from 43 root domains, they'd at least show 20 or 30 root domains. I definitely have more than 3 credible sites linking back to me. So do I have an issue? I've been trying to get my site ranking for 9 months, and I've tried EVERYTHING. Still no significant movement. Please help me figure out what's going on. I've been trying to get my site ranking for 9 months, and I've tried EVERYTHING. Still no significant movement. I'm wondering—maybe even hoping—that this will help me uncover a problem that could set the whole thing back on course. Please help me figure out what's going on.

Search traffic steady, Landing pages receiving traffic had massive drop
Following the week of Google's major algorithm update in January, we saw this graph in our Moz dashboard. (green bars are # of landing pages receiving traffic from search, blue line is traffic from search) Traffic from SEO grew slightly, but number of landing pages receiving traffic fell by more than 50%. We didn't make any changes to sitemap, rel=canonical, number of pages being published, etc. Traffic from top keywords held consistent. Number of pages/images google crawled and indexed grew per webmaster tools. Big spike in Nov/Dec is because we are in retail, seasonal not technical issues. Is anyone else experience the same thing? An algo change? Or something more specific to our site? Quality traffic is what we care about, so number of pages traffic is going to could be a positive thing (easier to optimize). But jury is out. Search Engine Submission
Is it not sufficient to submit url (abc.co.uk) in **google.com **if to promote in UK or it has to be submit in google.co.uk? Is Google not updating his info from one domain to another automatically or it has to be submitted manually in every region? If it updating automatically then how much time it is taking for replication/to reflect. One of site (abc.com) is coming in google.com but it is not coming when checking in google.co.uk Kindly suggest.

Switching to a new website & Search Engine Rankings
Hello! We have been doing a lot of work on our SEO over the last few months and are thrilled to be in the top four four "edmonton website design" in our city. However, we are planning to launch a new website soon and are very concerned that this could negatively effect our rankings (as was the case with one of our competitors this week). What tips and techniques can you recommend in this case? On paper, the SEO on our new site is much better than the last - the url structure, contact info and content is much more targeted to our desired search terms, however, I don't want to take any chances. Is there any way to be certain (as certain as possible) that we will not get bumped to page 2? Thanks, Anton

Local search block seems to mess up ranking calculations!
Time and time again i see SEO moz come out with a new rankings report and tell me that I've gone up or down in the rankings by 9 and I get really excited. Then i go look at the search and once agian we are in the exact same position! What it seems like is sometimes SEO Moz decides to count the local search block, and other times it decides not too. Is there any way to fix this? To make it always count the local search block would be preferred.
