I would like to ask i have found on blog:  "Forum posting is an important effective SEO Link Building Method to getting quality traffic and quality back links to your website. Learn here about forum posting basics, advices and guidelines."

Is it true? Forum posting with backlink to my website can help me to rank better?

I mean posting on the related  forum website?

An additional point worth bearing in mind is that many sites actually designate links on their site generated through user generated content as 'no follow' meaning that the link does not pass any page rank from that site to yours. Of course you would still potentially get referral traffic to your site via the links you have posted and that is no bad thing, but in terms of SEO benefit it would be negligible if the links are no followed.

Tom is dead on - we recently began to do this ourselves, letting one employee devote half a day (at least!) to monitoring forums and relevant articles to our company for digital outreach efforts.

We're using OSE's Just-Discovered beta, Chartbeat, and SEOMoz's Fresh Web Explorer to track where the conversations are taking place. We've only been doing this for a week or so, and are using some utm_parameters to track traffic from the efforts. We're hoping to see some solid engagement and, for a bonus, create some online evangelists.

Forum posting and blog posting are surely some quick form of getting backlinks. Participating in communities is always good but in what communities you are participating is key.Surely I agree with Tom that its not a good and recommended linkbuilding method as there are 70%+ communities that have spam on it.
Do it but do it with real care.

For more details I recommend you read this post.

            Hey there

In terms of a link building tactic, I wouldn't recommend spending too much time on this.  If done sparingly and on relevant sites with good content/discussion, it could give you a slight ranking increase - but the effect is likely to be small and attempting to scale it could look quite spammy.

I would much rather approach forum posting as a relationship and a traffic builder.  If you can engage on forum communities, help out people where you can and really add worth there with help, tutorials, resources etc., you could very well build positive enforcement for your brand, as well as driving qualified traffic to your site that already trusts you, thus may be more likely to convert.

If you can do that, I think forum posting can be great.  As a side-effect, having a few forum links won't be so bad.  But don't approach it with the mindset of building links - build the relationships first and a few sparingly used links to your site can be a nice added benefit.

If you go and forum post just to build link, you'll see little to no value whatsoever.

            Hope this helps.

Backlinks from The Sun, New Yor Post, etc...

              backlinks paid links

Hello there, Some of my competitors have backlinks from very well-known newspaper websites like New York Post or The Sun. And it is really obvious that their backlinks are paid ones. On these news websites, they don't talk about ghost writing stuff or "partnership" for backlinks. They only write about banner advertising. So I was wondering how they can get a backlink from them.
Do some writers sell those backlinks somewhere else, under the table? Are they in contact with SEO agencies who paid them and if this is the case, does their "manager" know it? or does the company directly have partnerships with SEO agencies? Basically, how to get a backlink from the NY Post or The Sun ? Thanks

How you do guest posting on behalf of your clients? What do you use in the author bio - your name, client's name or a fake name?

I would like to hear from SEO agencies or link building teams - how you manage guest posting on behalf of your clients? 1. What is your outreach process - Do you pitch as a marketing manager or as a subject expert? 2. What do you mention in your author bio? Your name and your bio as outreach manager/ marketing manager? Your client's name and client's bio? A fake name - as a subject expertise? 3. Which email ID and contact details you use? - Your work ID/ client's ID/ Fake Gmail ID? I work for an SEO agency and I am interested in content and SEO related blog posts. But, I have many clients in the home improvement, real estate, food, fashion and other industries. I don't feel right to use my name when posting a guest blog on their behalf. What you guys prefer? Any thoughts?

I Know How To Get A Link From Huffington Post ..... Should I ?

Hi pals, like the title says I know an author of the huffington post that will write a related article to my website and give me a genuine permanent link. But... he wants me to pay him $1000 for the link and the article. Do you think it's work it? Would YOU pay that price for a link like this??

              Sponsored posts against Google guidelines?

I'm a bit confused. Every blog I try to outreach on always give me a quote for a sponsored post. Isn't this against Google guidelines because you paying for a link technically even though your paying for a post? Do you guys buy sponsored posts? Should this be avoided? How do you outreach to a blog that offers sponsored posts? They can smell that you want a link from a mile away and give you a nice fat quote.

Multiple guest posts from one site have any effect on rankings?

I have started guest blogging and have sites asking me for more content. I understand that regular guest blogging is great for building authority as an author and has the potential to get more links through word of mouth and other sites linking to me. The more posts I do the more exposure I get. But if I have say 3 or 4 posts on an external site with each linking to my site (to a different url and with different anchor text) does that have any effect on rankings as all links come from the same domain? As I understand it links from different root domains are what matters. Presumably a site with links from 5 different sites with 10 links on each external domain totalling 50 links wouldn't rank as well as a site with links from 50 different domains (1 per domain)?

How do you compose and write a great guest post?

After developing a relationship with a blog owner and being told you may guest posts on their blog for your client: How do you compose and write a great guest post? How do you pick a good topic? How to you compose the post to serve the blog your are guest posting for and your client? Should you write the post like you are a member/writer for the blog you are posting for? How much should you keep your client in the loop of what you are posting on behalf of their company? Does anyone have any good examples or experiences when creating a great guest post?

Should we BackLink to Guest Post ?

Hi, I have been actively doing guest blogging for last few weeks . But the page authority , moz Rank and moz Trust of my guest posts appear 0 as those posts have their own pages on blogs  with snippets of posts on home page.  I wanted to ask if i should backlink to my guest posts to increase the authority, mR and mT of pages. Those posts are already appearing as backlinks in webmaster tools but if i backlink to my posts to increase mR and mT, then will it also increase the juice passed by backlinks in those posts to landing pages on my site ? Thanks,

Where/should I post my press release/articles on my own website?

I have started a long-term article marketing campaign and press release distribution. I will have about 4 articles and press releases in total every month. Although the press releases will not be self-promotional, sometimes they will be talking about a certain product that we unveil. The question is, due to the high quality of these press releases, should I put them on my website as well as publish them on third party websites? If so, because they target a specific service/product which we already have a dedicated page on our website, wouldn't that put Google in the position of choosing between the two pages? I was thinking to put them on my blog and link internally from there with the keywords that I target on those pages as anchor text. The same question for articles. Any suggestions?
