Ranking - UK or Localised?
-
The MOZ rankings are based on a GOOGLE UK search, when in reality when someone does a search on Google, the results, by default, are localised (based on the City IP). We need to see where we rank for a local search (Leeds) and also for a UK search?

Hey There,
So no, Moz doesn't do this yet as far as I know. Might be a cool feature request.
BUT I did a quick Google search and found this tool http://www.brightlocal.com/seo-tools/local-search-rank-checker/
Might be worth giving the free trial a go.
Otherwise I haven't run across a tool that does this that I can endorse for sure!
Might be a question better posed to someone on the Moz team, though as maybe I'm missing something here.
Good Luck!
Jacob

Hey there,
Thanks for the question. As you saw our rankings are pulled for the country in general and we and work to remove any localization from the results. You will see your Universal Results if they are included in the SERP, but will not see specific local results.
We do have it in the works to make that available, but I don't have a time frame quite yet. Your best bet is to keep an eye on the blog and as soon as Local is available you'll see it right on the front page.
In the meantime, maybe someone else here in the Q&A can suggest an alternative that will give you your local results.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Joel.

Why is my page ranking lower when my moz stats are higher?
There are several keywords that I search for and I notice we rank lower than a couple of competitors. When I use the mozbar and view the stats, I see that are PA and DA are higher and in some instances the ones who rank higher don't even show all the keywords in their meta descriptions. If this is the case, how are they still ranking higher?

Keyword rankings and main company tagline not matching
I have a question about keywords rankings and on page keywords. I don't rank very well for the keyword "Nutcracker". But, my tag line is "Your one stop Nutcracker and Ballet Gifts source". One of my most important keywords is "Nutcrackers" (see the s 😉 ) and I hot hit really hard in my rankings with the google algorithm update. Almost a 30 position difference from one day to the next. Am I shooting myself in the foot by having Nutcracker being in the forefront, even though my chances of ranking for that are very low as there is high competition with more actual "The Nutcracker" related content. I do have the word "nutcrackers" on my home page...but all of a sudden I feel like i'm wasting space, or I should have made the tagline "Your one stop Nutcrackers and Ballet Gifts source". It just doesn't sound as good. I just recently dove headfirst into SEO and moz, so I consider myself a noob, but I learn quite quickly. Thank you for your help! Magento webshop ranks bad on Category pages
Hi All! Our webshop is www.hond.nl. We operate it for about a year now and it is not ranking on our most important pages. Basically we have 3 types of pages: Category pages, Product pages and 'Splash' pages. The 2nd and the 3rd rank OK. But the 1st, the category pages not at all. While the category pages have the best (hand written, unique) and the most content. For example https://www.hond.nl/hondenvoer.html is not ranking on keyword 'hondenvoer' (position 140...) We have investigated quite thoroughly and did most common (moz) tests and can't find a reason why the category pages don't rank. (could it have something to do with the filters...?) If anybody can shed some light on it, we would be much obliged! Thanks, Sander

Video SERP and Seomoz ranking
It seems that my keywords that lead to videoresults in SERP, is not being ranked on Seomoz! How come when i rank #3 on a certain keyword with a videoresult Seomoz is displaying me as #15 (which is the second of my pages in SERP)? What is the reason for not counting the video-result in the ranking-tool?

Is it possible to use the RankTracker to track specific location rankings?
We are a regional store and tracking the "global" rankings isn't super useful. We need to know what our organic rankings are for our specific market area. Is this possible with the SEOMOZ Rank tracker tool? I didn't see this option but I just wanted to check over here since it seems like it would be a pretty common issue. Thanks!

Rankings in Google UK
Hi everyone, I've posted before on this and I'm still not satisfied that the answer is correct. Basically, my ranking report is saying that hardly any of my keywords are ranking in the top 50 of Google UK. Now, I appreciate that rankings can be affected by my search history, but I've tried other computers, other IP addresses, logged out of Google, cleared cache etc.. and I'm still seeing the terms I'm wanting to rank for on the first and second pages of Google UK. What is going on? My boss is wanting to see progress with these terms - I'm confident that we're ranking well, but the report is saying otherwise.

All my opensiteexplorer params are far higher than my competitor. On the exact keyword I'm ranked #3, wikipedia ranked #2, he's ranked #1. Cant figure out why is that. I've tried copying his links profile, linking from same site he does. Had partial success but my links profile is far larger in terms of quality and content. My page is graded "A" by seomoz tools. Attached my OpenSiteExplorer screenshot. I'm wondering what are your thoughts on that. Regards,
