Branded Links : But not got any ranking..
-
Hi there.
I'm SEO expert myself. I am building quality and authority backlinks with branded anchor text. My website has now over 1.5k backlinks with branded anchor text and generic keywords. But my website still not showing in SERPS with my targeted niche or anchor text.
Do i need to build backlinks with exact match anchor text if yes then how much?
Thanks in advance.

In terms of links and link profile diversity, I recommend you study the top ten competitors in your niche, with a close focus on the top 3. Consider their backlinks, quality and diversity.
A competitive link histogram is helpful in fully visualizing the types of links that competitors have:
By anchor text
By DA (domain authority)We generally create a minimum of two, one for each of those areas, and then study then.
This gives you specific averages with which you can focus on more closely in your campaign to shape it closer to naturalization, or get a better picture on what Google wants to see in your specific niche, or what is working.
Also, be very sure to rule our on-site and / or other issues at the same time.
Hope this helps!

I would have to say that I would test out two things 1st.
Your robots.txt
use a tool like this it will let you know if there's any thing extra in your robot text that may be to plug-ins have allowed to stay and you're not seeing it. Another reason you can be blocking yourself and not know it is some content delivery networks allow you to control the robot text through them so if you are using one you may want to check that out as well Max CDN is notorious for this

if you find an issue and it is a hard one I would use screaming frog along with Seer interactive's guide
http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/screaming-frog-guide
however if for whatever reason it is not a fluke and you are really not showing up on Google the 1st thing I would do is check Google webmaster tools for a notification.
I have to agree with David on a lot of what's been said. If it is not a block from your site itself and you're not showing up it is most likely an issue with that back links.
Run your site through tools below to check your back links for anything that is not relevant or a very low quality

I hope I have been of help,

Link building is not only about branded and generic anchor texts, of course you should try to get some links with keyword rich anchor text. There are a lot of useful resources on the MOZ blog about this, here is a recent one: http://moz.com/blog/how-to-build-links-to-your-blog-a-case-study
Also you should make sure you have good on-page optimization for each of the pages on your website, after doing good keyword research.

How many links exist with anchor text like HERE, Click Here, See Now, Click to See etc.?
This will be critical to have in the mix and is part of a natural linking scheme. It seems as if some of your generic keyword terms would have to have exact match keywords, correct? You are still not ranking for anything? Are your links on sites and pages relevant to target? Are they on penalized sites? If you have 1500 back links and nothing showing up in the SERPS I think you need to make more use of the disavow tool than you do more time back linking.
I have sites with 10 back links scoring well on local or low competition words. I would wonder the condition of your robots.txt file and what meta tags you have such as any rel=noindex etc.
If all of that is in order I would ask the quality of the content. Are you writing content or scraping it? Using spun articles? Have a shallow site of just a couple pages with 3%+ keyword distribution and high html to text ratio?
I can't be exactly sure but I would venture to guess your situation has nothing to do with needing to crank out more back links.

Linking from a corporate site to a brand site.
Is there an SEO impact to a large corporation linking from a corporate and/or a divisional site to a specific brand site with it's own top level domain? We would like to keep the traffic coming, but not if it will be seen as a black hat tactic. My guess is that Google will be smart enough to see that the corporation owns the brand and at least not penalize us, but I am wondering if anyone else has this experience? Google Analytics is calling it self-referral.

How hard would it be to take a well-linked site, completely change the subject matter & still retain link authority?
So, this would be taking a domain with a domain authority of 50 (200 root domains, 3500 total links) and, for fictitious example, going from a subject matter like "Online Deals" to "The History Of Dentistry"... just totally unrelated new subject for the old/re-purposed domain. The old content goes away entirely. The domain name itself is a super vague .com name and has no exact match to anything either way. I'm wondering, if the DNS changed to different servers, it went from 1000 pages to a blog, ownership/contacts stayed the same, the missing pages were 301'd to the homepage, how would that fare in Google for the new homepage focus and over what time frame? Assume the new terms are a reasonable match to the old domain authority and compete U.S.-wide... not local or international. Bonus points for answers from folks who have actually done this. Thanks... Darcy

Link Juice Vs. Page Rank
What is better from an SEO point of view a Page with Page Rank of 5 with 0 clicks linking to your site or a page with a Page Rank of 3 with 1000 clicks linking back to your site? Is link juice important? do search engines count Link Juice?

Do comment links on blogs help the blog itself rank?
Hi I have a blog - Carzilla.co.uk - and it keeps getting what are pretty obviously spam comments with links to unconnected websites of various quality. The blog is quite new and not ranking highly in SERPs for anything in particular yet. So my question is, is it better to let some of these comments through so google can see activity on the site? Or do spammy comments with links make the site look like a link farm? Any advice on what my policy should be - purely from a Google serps perspective - would be great.

Linking to Authorities
Hello, I know that if its good for the user, its not a bad move. But for this question I am specifically asking for how it affects my ranking. Does it help my ranking to link to appropriate authority sites?
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | tylerfraser
Have you done any tests to see if linking out to authoritative sites like .gov info pages, industry leaders, etc. help with a sites ranking. I am thinking about taking of all of these outgoing links and just link to my important pages. Thank you, Tyler0
