Bear in mind Patrick, you need to be careful with keyword cannibalisation with titling inner pages like this.
If many of your pages have 'City Web Design' in the title there could be conflict with the page that you are targeting that term for (usually the home page). I would avoid this myself on pages such as About Us, Contact, News, Blog, etc. and probably just something like use:
- About Us | Company Name

Hi JBNorthAM,
In terms of SEO for on-page tagging, you can approach it a number of ways, but we like to take a simple approach on this. Do your keyword research if you wish to target a keyword on those given pages and then get creative. *Remember, to also hit your Meta Description as well for this and make sure that if you do target a keyword in the Title, that it is referenced in the page content itself like H tags, paragraph text, alt image tag, hyperlink to another page or blog article or website, etc...
Not sure what industry you are talking about, but let's take a Web Design company in a City for example. You could try this:
- About Us = About Our City Web Design Firm | Company Name
- Investor Relations (not sure you'd optimize this page, but could be) = Investor Relations Info for Our Web Design Company
- Careers = City Web Design Career Opportunities | Company Name
- News & Events = City Web Design News & Events | Company Name
Again, these are just ideas yet something to consider as there are a number of strategies to rework and make them more interesting for the searchers seeing the Title in the SERPs. Make them attractive, creative, meaningful and it should help get their attention and, ultimately, their click.
Hope this was helpful! - Patrick

Does Using Brand/Company Name in Title on Multiple Pages Cause Cannibalization
I'm trying to rank for brand-name related keywords for a website. Most of the titles on the site include the page topic followed by the brand-name separated by bars or dashes (ex: title= widget | My Brand). Is this creating cannibalization for the brand-related terms? I was wondering if it was better to leave the brand out of the title all together except on a dedicated page. However, due to the nature of the business I work for there are multiple recognized iterations of the name including acronyms and long-form and short-form versions and creating content for each targeted iteration seems superfluous.

Title Tags
Hi, Say I am going after the keyword "example location". Is it better to have the Title say "Example Location" or can I say, "Example is the best in location" and still get the same keyword results? What about "Example location, location, location", would each "location" carry with it the "example". Hopefully that was not too confusing. Thanks,

Best way to find keyword to write a post that will get 50 visitors a day in Google traffic?
Hi - I have a blog with good PR (4) but not much search traffic. I am interested in targeting keywords on a single blog post basis rather than site wide. The current search traffic is so low I can't really base looking for keywords off the keywords people are already arriving from. The only tool I know is the Google keyword tool. I am tired of writing posts that get zero search visitors most days, so would like to try to target some terms that will get around 50 search visits per day to that specific post. Best approach?

Duplicate Page Title Recommendation (For pretty much identical products)
Hi, I'm currently writing the meta data for the launch of a new ecommerce site for our company & the way the site is set out means that each product has it's own landing page. The issue with this is that we have a lot of products that either do the same thing or are only a very slight variation of another product. This is causing a bit of a problem writing the page titles because as you can imagine in order to keep it relevant I'm having to pretty much copy other page titles. For example Product A 3/4 Length | Keywords | Company Product A Full Length | Keywords | Company Also as you can imagine it's a bit of an issue for the on-page text due to the only variation being the length (in this example) with only a slight bit of changed content to accomodate. I was wondering if anyone had come across similar problems to this and if so how did they resolve the issue? I don't really want to be penalised by Google for multiple duplicate content/metadata across the site. Should I just target the keyword for one of these products and then target a still relevant keyword, but one that has next to no searches for the other, similar product do you reckon? Cheers

Best keyword research tool
Okay, what is the BEST keyword research tool? I've heard all across the board, but I'm looking for preferrably a free tool, but just want to use one that can do competitive research, as well as find me a ton of long tail.
