Why has my MozTrust & DA dropped
-
Hi
The company i work for are in the middle of relaunching our product, so during this time we have not been generating much traffic to the site. We are still getting about 800 SEO visits a month, however, as we aren't doing email marketing our site traffic overall has dropped.
I have noticed that since October or MozTrust and Domain Authority seems to be dropping. Our DA was at 18 then in the space of a few weeks has dropped to 10. Our Moztrust was at about 3 and now is at 0. Our links to the site seems to be disappearing to according to Moz, however other back linking website are saying they are still there.
Could someone maybe shed some light on what i may have done wrong to lose these two things and so quickly. This all happened mid to late October. During the Hummingbird release we were fine!
We have also just updated out website with lots of new content. In fact increased it 4x. There are great internal links throughout the site.
Thank you

The drop in DA came before the the upload of the new website. Also the bank links according to Moz seem to have disappeared prior to the new upload.
Thanks

Hi
Yes it is www.smartloan.co.uk. Sorry i didn't add it in, however on some other forums they seem to get very upset if you put in your actual website.

It might be because you lost some important links pointing to your website. This will cause a drop not only in your metrics but also to your organic traffic.
Even if you add more contents but is losing good backlinks, your site authority will still suffer.
One of the experts here on Moz suggested using MAJESTIC to check your backlink history. You can also use Webmaster tools. Check your impressions report for any changes in your site traffic.

you have to name your site if you want an appropriate answer... is it smartloan.co.uk you are referring to?

New Website & DA Score
We are preparing to build a new website for a branch of our company. According to Neil Patel (whom I highly respect) our DA should come in around 30 (categorizing us as a startup, see chart below). So I ask: Why do our current sites DA Score below 30? (20 & 29 respectively) Our sites were redesigned in 2013 and are responsive, pass the Google Mobile Friendly test and I've improved load speed by over 25% by compressing images. I have used Moz as guidance for 10 months on both 7 + yo sites, HP.com is 14 yo, our pages score in the high 90's and I have disavowed bad backlinks for 6 months (now only every other month). I thought we would be in or close to the 50 range by 2017 after a solid year of improvements, but I don't see that happening. Our scores go up a point or two, then back down, we have floundered 2 points either way for 10 months. Most important question: What do I do now to raise our DA? Lastly, my plan is to take all the lessons learned from the past years and apply it to the new site, measure the success and then redesign the other two sites in accordance to the new model. But that may be a year away. KJr www.heritageprinting.com www.heritageprintingcharlotte.com | DA | Rating |

| 1-10 | Poor – Your site is young and weak. You have a lot of growing to do. |
| 11-20 | Decent. Your site isn’t stellar, but you’re doing better. It would be good to grow. |
| 21-30 | Fair. Your site shows signs of SEO, but there are many things you can and should do to improve. |
| 31-40 | Competitive. A lot of startups find themselves in this DA range. It’s not bad, and you’re beginning to get close to the sweet spot. |
| 41-50 | Good. Now, you’re getting somewhere. This is a nice place to be, and many good e-commerce sites find themselves squarely in this category. |
| 51-60 | Strong. As you swing out of the lower half of the scale, you’re beginning to get much healthier. This is a good place to be. |
| 61-70 | Excellent. A DA at this level represents a great site with a lot of recognition, a lot of link backs, and a considerable authority in its niche. Many .edus are in this space. |
| 71-80 | Outstanding. You’re dominating in the SERPs and owning your niche. Quick Sprout is a 73. |
| 81-90 | Very outstanding. You’re in the upper echelons of authority. You can consider yourself to have arrived. |
| 91-100 | Rare. These sites are household names — Wikipedia, Facebook, New York Times, etc. Your site will probably never attain this level. Only a miniscule fraction of a percentage of sites on the Internet ever get this high. | https://www.quicksprout.com/2014/04/09/how-to-score-your-websites-seo-in-10-minutes-or-less/0 -
A keyword my site ranks on has recently dropped from no 2 to 51+ after weeks ranking high.
Any ideas? The full SERP analysis still puts it at no 2 so I'm quite confused

H1 tag Audit & Image Alt Tag Audit Tools
Hi Mozzers, Anyone know of a good FREE tool that has no limits to use to scrape my site for H1 tags & image alt tags by page? Ideally it would produce a report with a list of page URLs, corresponding H1 tags and each image alt tag on each page. Anyone? Bueller?

Duplicate Page Titles & Content
We have just launched a new version of a website and after running it through SEOMOZ we have over 6000 duplicate title & content errors. (awesome) 😕 We have products that show up multiple times under different URLs however we "thought" we had implemented the rel=canonical correctly. My question is - do these errors still show up in SEOMOZ despite the canonical tags being there OR if they were "correct" would we be getting "zero" errors?

I did run a small SEO campaign targeting a couple of deep pages over a month on my site and I would like to measure the efficiency of this campaign but I forgot to write down what was the PA (I know more aloess the DA) of those pages before the starting the campaign. Is their a way to retrieve the historical data of PA/DA ? thanks
